I'm looking to redo my bedroom. House is on the market and I'm trying to move soon. So it's two fold. Stage the house and have great sheets and bedding for next house. Right now I'm rocking some college sheets and fleece!
Looking for the best of the following.
Goose down comforter Flannel/chamois sheets Summer cotton sheets
Already have a sweet wool woolrich blanket as my other layer.
Thanks!

After many years of accumulating hand me downs and buying cheap stuff a couple years ago I went to Kohls and got the best sheets they had. Vera wang 750 thread count. Love them, they are substantial, not flannel like. Not like poplin either. I think this summer I'll get some poplin sheets the other are a little warm for summer use.

I bought a set of 600 thread count I think at Macy's during a super sale. Pretty soft and comfy but its my most expensive set ever. Usually 120 and I paid 45.

I get a set about every other year when I see them appear at Costco. Good quality, soft, good price, deep corner pockets...and Costco. Keep 2 sets in normal rotation and a third just in case set...purge anything else. For down comforters (and pillows) I actually go to Ikea...they have a huge selection of in varying weights, sizes, construction, etc. The only negative I've found with ikeas down comforters is they're sized slightly differently than standard so duvets don't fit perfectly unless they are from there as well.

I have not purchased any sheets from them, but the Brooklinen website is very informative regarding thread counts, manufacturing processes, etc. Their sheets sound pretty good and have good reviews. Worth a look.

Considering going linen or tencell for bedding. Anyone use either one?

Considering going linen or tencell for bedding. Anyone use either one? I got some linen sheets earlier this summer from a company called Matteo. The fabrics are imported, but the cutting and sewing is done in LA. They are expensive, but I just happened to order when they were 50% off, so they were pretty reasonable. The first night felt weird and the fabric felt rough, but now I love them and they keep getting better with every wash (kind of like denim actually). It definitely feels cooler than a cotton sheet. No experience with tencell.
