Is Ohio considered Midwest???
Least you were taught the correct way to say it when young lol.
Granted, we also say subs (not hoagies) crick, yin, worsh, N'at, and habitually never say "to be" with anything. The roads also aren't slippery, their slippy. All of these are also correct....

It's pronounced pop where I'm from. I can't stand saying "soda". Pop huh? Is the term sister-wives used a lot in your neck of the woods too? Haha "Yinz hanging out dahn' tahn' with your sister-wives N'at?". Just, no....hahahaha.

I still say pop, from growing up in Michigan but no one around me does. In parts of NE it's seltzer.

As I remember "seltzer" = anything with bubbles. Totally get the "to be" thing. I never really think about it, but it drives some people nuts.
Gotta go. The car needs washed.

lol...pop...that's funny^^^ Oh I'm serious...get outta here with your "soda" talk. Every other 48.5 states just pronounces it wrong. Do you by chance call mini-golf "putt putt" as well?

I grew up in the 5 counties of Pee-yay that are not technically "Stillers country" (the 5 surrounding Philly). I had some friends from the other side of the state that referenced putt putt and I later found out it's a chain (?) or something in that part of PA and Ohio (I think).

All this talk about putt-putt and soda; guess I'm the drinker in the group. Another day, another beverage. Great saison here at Logsdon.

St. George Terroir Gin - made here in nutty California no less. If you like Gin, it's a work of art. They have 2-3 others as well that are excellent, but this one is my fave.
