Just got these in and can't afford to keep them. I compared the size to the CXL Classic boot 8.5's I have any they appear to be virtually the same. Feel is definitely a bit more pliable. Just took them out of the box to make sure they were okay. Don't see any real issues. Did not put them on.  Looking for $160 (includes shipping) or best offer. Prefer online money payment systems like Venmo or Google Wallet, but will consider checks/MOs or Paypal. |

Did the heels come like that? What are you referring to exactly? That bit of ruffage on the boot on the bottom left where the hell meets the back of the boot body? The boots are pretty much exactly how I got them. |

Yup that's how they came. That's the left side of the right boot. At first I thought it was that thin later material they put between the heel and the leather, but it doesn't look like base is cut correctly/been a bit chewed up. I looked at the other boot and my previous pair and they aren't like that. Sigh. Think I can return it and get my money back?  |

Honestly return them. With those defects Gustin should cover return shipping and give you A full refund

Those boots are total garbage--you need a refund.
You know, it would be one thing if these were made and packed into boxes by giant industrial machines, but these things are made by hand, and every person who had a hand in making these and packing them into the box knew they were screwed up.

We don't know whose fault it is, factory might finish products like these and mark them as "B"-warez and maybe not even charge for them, and then normal businesses QC these out and give to africa and friends and stuff, but G just sends everything out hoping we take it?

Never said anything about other brands, just that my decision was between Alden and Gustin. I guess Viberg service boots would do too but no less expensive. The options for a low profile toe box are limited. |

Its a little hard to see, but is it like the top of the leather that is fussy (could be cut with a razorblade to get straight) or is it also the bottom of that leatherpiece that is glued down (impossible to fix).
