For reasonable priced clothes, I am a fan of Eddie Bauer. Not made in the USA and they don't have selvedge, but I love their 100% cotton slim fit T-shirts. Nice weight, good fit and feels nice. Have purchased shirts, jeans, hats, gloves and other things in the past. I just received a long sleeve for about $12.00 It was on sale, I had a $10 certificate from their Eddie Bauer Friends/rewards program and I had a free shipping code. If you want to return something you can bring it back to a store and save shipping costs. I have done this a few times. This way you can try things, bring back and it doesn't cost anything. Quality has been good for me. Sorry for the grainy pic, not sure what happened. www.eddiebauer.comslim-fit/t-shirts/

i'm not a fan of EB. they strike me as a wannabe LL Bean but with over the top branding. I hate it that practically every article of clothing they sell has their logo embroidered somewhere on it

I hate it that practically every article of clothing they sell has their logo embroidered somewhere on it Did you have an actual problem with their products or customer service? I can't think of many clothing brands that don't have the logo/name on it. Iron Heart even has it on their shirts and of course most all jeans, selvedge included have the back patch. Both LL Bean and Eddie Bauer have been around for about 100 years. Both started by outdoor enthusiasts to make high quality outdoor gear and clothes. Eddie Bauer made parkas, sleeping bags and other gear for the US army. They also patented the quilted down jackets we all know. That said, both companies have changed ownership over the years and don't resemble the all USA made company they first started as. I wouldn't make a decision on a company's product quality and customer service by just how they brand things. Not saying looks aren't a criteria for what we like. I have never worn a shirt with an alligator on it. My shirts actually have a very small flying goose on the bottom hem of shirt. No name at all.

Like I said, my problem with EB is the blatant branding. I'd actually buy something of theirs if it didn't have that stupid logo. As for other companies that do this, most notably the denim companies you've mentioned, you can't see the branded patch on the back, so it's not an issue. Placing your company logo in an inconspicuous location doesn't bother me. Placing it up front and center does. I refuse to be a walking billboard
