Roman told me if I committed two months to him being trained, I could make anything. You don't know how tempting it is. I'm so ready to do something new... I'm moving into a bigger place in the next month or so, free place to crash brah! Actually, you could head up his LA operations as he's planning to expand out there. Yeah, I emailed him about that. My wife 100% supports me. Who knows. I'm kinda giddy...

When Roman replied back to my email about changing some shirt sizes around in a previous order, he asked if I wanted in on the free pair. Of course I couldn't turn him down, but I just mentioned the style I'd like - will leave the details up to him.

So I gave him my numbers and said have at it. At this point, I'm almost more excited about shirts and jackets, but the jeans also have me really intrigued. I would love to buy these for upcoming Xmas and Bday gifts if they pan out.

Not one bit. I have spent a good chunk of money at Gustin, and know some have spent way more than I. In no way do I feel obligated to only buy from them. Free markets, and competition is the American way! To me, I am glad to have Roman in the marketplace, as I think he is more aligned to my tastes. More work wear, motorcycle riding, laid back vibe, willing to make people stuff that they ask for. Maybe its because he comes from custom work. Not preppy, which is OK buy me.

I gave Roman my measurements and he asked what I wanted. I had been chatting with him on the lawless site week trying to buy the 17 Oz slubs but it wasn't working so he said I could have those which is amazing. I didn't get on the kickstarter offer so I promised I would by at least 1 pair next week.

I was being facetious of course, but I've created such a bond with them and all. Great people. But yeah, I'm more a LD styled guy at heart now - 20 years back, G-Unit would have hit on every note for me. But LD and they philosophy seem to ring a bell in my Western head. We'll see how things go...

Guys - I want to thank all of you for the assistance and opinion in the G community as well as the many laughs. But also for bringing me in on this with lawless. It's a free market out there and great to have competition for G and others. This is the only way prices will remain reasonable. Never mind all of the cool shit we get to wear! I enjoy supporting hard working cool companies and it now looks like we will have at least 2 in the denim market. I just hope the lawless product is as good as I think it will be.

I emailed Roman this morning and hope i'm not too late. Tried to buy a pair last week but the site was down. Did you hear back from Roman today? I emailed him first thing this morning and didn't get a response confirming or regretfully informing me that I missed the cutoff. I hope I am in!

Yes, I feel a bit dirty but I know I shouldn't . I won't bad mouth Gustin and love their stuff but just because I drink Pepsi doesn't mean I can't have a Dr.Pepper too.

I love being local, but I feel for you guys across the country - the Lawless site is being updated and it makes it inconvenient to seek out the denim for a free pair. I've been searching back on the KS to look at denim. It's in pages 8&9 in the comments (FYI).

I also remember a number of the denims - so ask away and I can tell you what I recall. In the slub category, there's a 14 or 15 Oz in black and also indigo and a heavy sub in indigo.

I would offer up to just ask him to go crazy and do anything he wants in your size - that's basically what I did. I don't want to be too demanding on a gift horse after all. And I think it would be good to be low-key on this and just let it happen. It was an insanely kind offering, and it's not like Roman doesn't have a shitload of things to take care of.
So, let's give him his weekend and let the chips fall. We can discuss what we get at that time and see what we all think about it! Good times.

I gave him my size and said I'd prefer mid weight indigo. But not choosy at all!

Yea Scott, I'm with you on that. I happened to be here last night when he offered up the free pairs. I thought it was insanely cool of him, expecially at a point when he must be crazy busy trying to get everything rolling, and up and running.

It felt oddly like I was taking advantage, but he truly wants to show "us" how good they are. I appreciate that. I am also excited as it seems as though he wants to make what people want to buy. That's a score for me. We'll see how it goes. I don't want to put pressure on them until they've settled in. That's just me though...

I bought about 8 items from Gustin and had not gotten anything out of ordinary from them. To me, Gustin is just another company out there that offer us products. Frankly, I am definitely unhappy about their up'ing the price so much especially the workshirt and bag. Hopefully, they don't go crazy with the CPO price.

Yes, Roman told me via email to stop by the shop since I'm local to pick my denim. They're only open until 5 today and closed Sunday-Monday. So (baby pending), I'll probably stop down on Tuesday and pick a denim - I would assume these wouldn't be fully custom (which is fine), just the cut and sizing per the $68 KS offer. No complaints from me on that:) As for everyone who's not in PHX, I've been using the KS updates (page 8 and 9) to look through most of the fabric swatches, since Lawless is being updated now.
