Looking at wool blankets for throw or couch duties.
My main question is should I get 100% wool or a blend 85/15 or 90/10 or 95/5 wool nylon blend I've seen. Basically the
Allegheny vs civil war blankets

I've got a couple woolrich 100% wool. Great for on the bed but a bit scratchy. Kind of utilitarian. I recently got a Johnson's of Elgin, 80% Marino 10% cashmere from STP. Like it so much I got another one. Perfect for a throw.

Found an allegheny woolrich blanket on eBay new with tags cheap. Large and 100% wool. Should fit the bill.

Anyone have experience with the cannon river for faribault mills blanket? Not that one, but lots of vintage stuff here in the house. Wife has lots of original Native American wool blankets too, which are now worth a lot. Woolwich and Pendleton are also well made. At least the older ones.

Should be interesting bought the Woolrich 100% allegheny blanket. Depending how that turns out. My local Jcrew is having a 50% sale on clearance and have the color block Faribault blanket.

The allegheny is a bit thin for my liking. It's 15oz 100% virgin wool very soft but thin.
The faribault is an double ply blanket.
Wondering if I should return the Allegheny and buy the Faribault. Double ply a big deal should it be warmer?
