I bought this on a whim from IHUK as they could do next day delivery and I don't like waiting. I know I could have got it cheaper, but I was unsure about the fit and wanted to return it if necessary and wait for the longer 526L. Anyway, I'm glad I got this, as the 526L is 2" longer, which I see I don't need. This came in bang on spec, which is always a relief, but typical for IH in my experience. For those who don't know, IH's 21oz denim is incredibly soft. I have the 634S jeans, but when I opened this packet, I was amazed yet again just how soft this is, considering the weight. My 21oz 9526V is so much stiffer in comparison, completely different. I sized up to XL from my usual L size in IH, as it seemed a smallish cut. I know that many prefer to wear it tighter and shorter, but I want a little room for a thin layer or vest if necessary, or if I eat too much chocolate. These are fit pics out of the box, but it's now drying after a warm soak, which might shrink it a little and hopefully make it look less shiny and new. I'll maybe put up post-soak pics later. Up until now, I wouldn't have been seen dead in a denim jacket, but this board has too many enablers for that. Note to mods: Maybe you could copy or move jeffrx 's 526J pics and posts from the 526J-DD, as they're lost in there and more relevant here.

Looks good! And you have a pinch of shrink space, too if you ever fancy a wash. I hope my type lll that's en route fits as well as yours.
Are those Wabash trousers by IH as well? (Now that I'm looking, I see a tag on the back pocket, so I know they aren't IH) I'm really on the fence about getting a pair... Been trying to decide in my mind for about a year now.

Speaking of enabling, get yourself a PBJ type 2

@untucked, the trousers are from Ciano, and the price is unbeatable. I wear them quite a lot and it's just a pity he was so swamped he never got round to making a shirt or car coat in this material.

wdwI have a pair of the Wabash jeans also. Love wearing them with Chucks and a TShirt. tones them down and makes them more casual. I washed them once (in the washer on gentle cycle). But now have 3 or 4 small tears in them. Has this happened to you? It's not the construction (that's top notch!), it's the fabric itself.

DigDug, that's too bad. I've done one similar wash, but just checked there and can't see any tears. I'm sure Ciano would replace them if it's a fabric fault, although last time I looked he'd sold out of Wabash.

Love the 21oz fabric as a jacket and vest fabric. My 526V or SV in japan is a great weight.
Almost bought this jacket but decided on the vest instead. I like my gap Japanese selvedge type 3 and don't need double haha
Can't wait to see fade pictures on this.
