Here’s a subject that usually generates some interesting responses, what items do you think a man should essentially have as part of his wardrobe?
There is lots to consider here, versatility, price, quality, style. Do you pick a utilitarian wardrobe full of quality that will stand the test of both time and wear? Or do you pick a certain style and stick with it, concentrating on quality pieces in places with less costly/ more easily replaced items in other areas to allow for shifts in trends?
Some favour a minimal wardrobe, some are a little more expansive, either is cool and I think I sit somewhere in the middle on that issue. I’m currently really happy with just about everything I have, and my urge to buy more, or replace is virtually none existent at the moment but it has taken me years to get here. I am also fortunate that a formal attire (suits, shirts etc…) are not something I require regularly, so I own one and it seldom see’s the light of day.
