I stopped by the Indigogene shop today to drop off some denim for hemming (thank you to Manny for offering to do the chainstitch service on denim that isn't your own). Anyway, I stopped by the new shop, which is in a small strip of shops in Tempe. For Manny, an upgrade from doing everything at home. He's got a lot of small-batch fabrics (maybe 20+ rolls that aren't like 100+ yards, more closer to 20-50 yard batches) that aren't on the website. He's got everything set up for some small storage for ready-to-wear and of course, all the tools to build out the custom that he's known for.
I'm definitely thinking about a jacket or (another) work shirt after seeing the shop firsthand. I may also send my girlfriend his way for some custom denim options.

He cut me a pair of jeans from a small roll he kept for a couple of years last week, just texted him and its in today. I went with a crazy green stitching since I wanted something unique in my own way.

Come to think about it, I probably should have taken a pic or two of the denim rolls. He's got a lot going on there. Not sure what's all available for the masses to buy, but it's was some familiar and different fabric options. I wasn't sure if he remembered me so I'll ask if he wants me to take a couple pics of fabrics for here when I go in on Thursday.

Follow-up on my last Indigogene visit - indigogene did a great job with the chain stitch hem request. While I was there, he was showing me some of the completed goods that are ready for sale. He's in the process of building up a little more stock to enable some turnaround times to be reduced. Lots of good options. One item he pointed out - he's got a stack of the Cone Nattie's (original/1776) and a stack of a postal blue pair (not sure if they are Japanese or Candiani) that's he's got about 90% complete that he plans to offer around July 4th for $69. I don't think I need another pair, but for $69, it may be a no brainer to opt for a another pair of off white denim for the summer. And being 1.5 miles from my office, I think my denim stock may go up. Time to purge to make room.

There are some naturals on sale on the indigogene site this weekend for $69.
I picked up a pair... hard to pass up if you don't already have light denim.

I thought Manny would offer for July 4th, it looks like he dropped them earlier. Good options. I might be in on the naturals, even with an existing off white pair.

I know that Manny has been sewing up a lot of pieces as MTO, like the Candiani-n-Gine and the Naturals, but I did also see other fabrics being sewn up. If you follow Indigogene on Instagram you can see more of what's being produced. The stuff that's being made isn't entirely MTO, but I think he's trying to get more quicker-turn stuff available.

This has probably been asked, but where does Manny take his thigh measurement and low hip?

I am eagerly waiting for my SD6500 in slim straight. Anybody got any pics of the denim (worn or not)?

These were the last jeans that Manny sewed up for me, it has green stitching as I wanted something really different. Not good at describing denim but it's very starchy and tighter in comparison to my 18.5oz kuroki pair.
