I never got a response to my email, so I was out even before hearing about the no international shipping here. I had sent a couple too. Got a reply to one saying they needed a few days to respond which was ok, but I never heard back after that. Teething problems I guess, which is understandable. It's just hard to cop after the Lawless fiasco...

While there may be some initial speed bumps, don't let it dissuade you. I have personally recieved both items I have ordered. I also have 3 friends who have ordered various items from shirts to custom jeans and leather goods in the past month or so and all 3 received their goods too. Manny is definitely a legit stand up guy and not out to scam or defraud anyone and makes good stuff.

If you know spanish, it is a lot easier to communicate with Manny as english is not his fist language. Plus, he just started so he has some learning/building to do.

On the website , it does have international shipping. And I just worked with that. So a responsible person wouldnt send some jeans without knowing how to. And then people would be upset or mad if they don't receive their jeans. So thank you for understanding us that we're new at this. And honestly were trying our best to make this work little by little . About surplus products , when you add the to the shipping cart, you can't select sizes because it's only one piece , you can see the size and sometimes select them but others are only one size.

I didn't mean to come across overly critical. Apologies if I did. I was just really keen to buy some gear and show some support.

Manny, for the 18.5oz Kuroki selvedge you have slim straight and straight sizes listed. But then for your surplus jeans you have slim taper listed. I think there needs to be more clarification on your sizing so customers know what to expect. For example, I'm assuming a slim taper is not the same as a slim straight correct? You only have one measurement for a slim fit but not a slim taper or slim straight.

Decided to give Indigogene a shot and ordered the Japan 16oz jeans. I'll report back on fit.
I'm curious, a lot of the denim offered in the surplus section look like the ones Gustin has offered. As whiskeyriver pointed out, the 16oz denim are the same as the Okayama Standards because of the orange line ID. The Kaihara IxI also appear to be the same as my United Stock Dry Goods navy selvage and I know Gustin offered it at one point. What about the Japan 17oz crosshatch slub? Those look like a dead ringer for my Gustin Japan One Sevens. Either way, look forward to seeing how these measure up

Crap. I haven't even received my order and i think i'll already be sending them back. I ordered the 16oz orange ID slim taper which i took to mean the slim fit. I looked at Manny's fit guide for a different pair and he has the slim taper listed under the skinny fit which has a 6.5" cuff opening. I hope this isn't the case. Don't want to look like Kramer walking around in tight skinny jeans

After just two weeks of kettlebell swings, my waist has shrunk up a tad, and the indigogene denim I received a few months back fit me like a glove. I'm really liking these as these are the only fitting indigo denim I currently own. It took about three weeks to break in my Downtown Browns, but these are perfect as is.

Will report back on fit. On a side note, Manny could probably do well if he tweaked his site just a hair. I think expanding the product listings and providing more copy as well as detailed pics would do wonders. Right now his site is functional but that's it.

Just received my 16oz orange id's today and the results are promising. The fit is definitely tighter than I like (slim taper), but I suspect with regular wear they'll stretch out and loosen up a bit. The waist comes in at 33.5" and surpringly I can fit into them. The thighs and knees are pretty tight with an aggressive taper (11.5" at the crotch and about 8" at the knee) - the cuff is about 7.25" but will probably be more like 7.5" once I get them hemmed. I like the sewn in belt loops and the fact that it has double belt loops in the back....reminds me of my 3sixteens. If I buy another pair in the future i'll be after the slim straights for sure.
With that said, the quality is very good imo. Looking forward to seeing what else Manny has to offer in the future

Really liking these jeans. Wasn't sure at first because I've never had jeans that fit me like a glove, but now that I've been wearing them i think these are gonna break in nicely. The knees were a tad tight at first which made bending hard, but they feel fine now.
I like the color of the denim too. I can't put my finger on it but they almost have a green/grey cast to them in sunlight. They're nice and crunchy too at 16oz and feel like a nice middle ground between heavy and lighter denim. Gonna get these hemmed eventually but wanted to break them in a little first.
For the price paid these jeans are great quality. If Manny can continue putting out a steady batch of product he'll do alright.
