Well, I got a pair of Indigogene denim from Manny as a "winner" of a free pair from the forum. Out of the options, I selected the "Japan 16 Oz. Orange ID" because I had a hunch... First, let me say that these jeans are extremely well made. They fit amazingly also. They are definitely smaller than the fit guide would indicate. The fit guide for 34 indicates they should fit like a true 36. They are much tighter. Which is good! Because I need closer to a 34.5 than a 36. I'd say they are my best fitting pair of jeans right now due to my weight loss. Construction: awesome. Hardware and patch: awesome. Just a very nice pair of jeans. I will measure them tomorrow. Thanks so much indigogene Manny!! But back to the fabric and my hunch... Do these IDs look the same to you? Yeah, me too... And the denim? Yeah...looks the same...because they ARE the same... Yeah, Manny's 16 oz. denim is the same as in Gustin's Okayama Standards. So I am pretty pleased to get that awesome denim in what I consider to be a much better-constructed pair of jeans in a better fit. Thanks again Manny! I'm working out if mine are going to stretch enough for me to be able to wear them, I wasn't as thorough with the measurement questions as I know I should have been. I was afraid that the 34 with the 36" waist would come in where my lawless did and be gigantic, so I went 32 and they came in at exactly 16.5" laid flat and measured across the top. Construction-wise they're nearly identical to the lawless jeans I have, which A) isn't a surprise, and B) I consider to be a good thing. Since this was a sample that Manny sent me, I'm working out with him how I should proceed, and I'll be figuring out tomorrow if they're going to be something I can make work. But as an actual response, whiskey, isn't the Okayama Standard 14.5oz? Supposedly, yes. They are identical in weight though. And appearance. And ID.

Happy enough with my jeans that I'm giving the shirts a go. Going with the 9.5 oz candiani chambray in the kingsman style. It will be my heaviest shirt.

indigogene, looks like you are doing a good job of just plugging away and getting a good product out there. It's nice to see that you are doing what you can to change the initial perception of your line, at least you are for me personally. I hope this continues. Hopefully you can change the image of denim manufacturers in Phoenix that has been tarnished by Roman Acevedo and Lawless Denim. I'll continue to watch this as it plays out.

I also won a promo pair. I just got them today and gave them a quick try on. They are a 13.5oz japanese denim. I opted for something lighter b/c most of my jeans are 17oz+ just to mix it up.
According to the size charts I belong in a 34 straight. This made me nervous because I don't own anything tagged 34 and if they came it at all small they'd be too tight. Well I'm happy to say that they nailed the size chart. They fit really great.
I'm really looking forward to more shirt options and plan to purchase one soon. I just hope they stay to keeping production at a level they can sustain and selling items once they are made. I'm seeing them talk about custom details and I would hate to see a promising brand get buried by custom work.

indigogene, can you tell me are the back pockets lined? Also how does one pick the pocket bag material? One of the reasons I don't want another Gustin pair is their flimsy pocket bag material wich I know will blowout.

The back pockets on my sample aren't lined, but Manny may be offering that as an option. The pocket bags were a nice blue canvas, but I'm curious as to when you got your last pair of Gustin, as there was a change about nine or ten months back where they switched to a heavier duty lining, and unless they changed back recently, I don't think you'd have to worry about them blowing out.

I was not planned to use liner on back pockets but now i will to put all to make more strong pockets. i hope next week we can have my website ready for everyone .

Haven't heard from the indigogene in a while, and I haven't received my denim yet. Curious if he got caught in that sh*storm. Wouldn't be surprised. In the PM, Manny said he's sending me a 16.5 oz Japanese crosshatch, and after payment, I received an email saying he was going to send me a 13 oz nihon menpu. Let me feeling a bit uneasy. And it's been a week since I was told it was supposed to ship.

I was talking to indigogene on FB a couple of weeks ago and mentioned that I was sad that I would never get my Oregon shirt from Lawless. He told me that he knew how to make it and it would take about 2 weeks. Well from the day I ordered until they day I got it took 10 days. His size chart for slim shirts: I am 5'10, 200 lbs. 36" waist, 41" chest, 16" neck. I went for the XL. The shirt measures exactly as the chart states and I think the fit is great. I'm really happy with the shirt. The fabric is Kaihara 10.5 oz deep indigo. I'm wearing Gustin Beasts in the pictures. The pics were taken about 5 minutes after I took it out of the box. I think I'm going to give it a hot soak. I really like the selvedge details. The pocket lining is a very nice touch that we didn't even discuss. I wasn't expecting it.

Looking Great indigogene what are you charging for shirts like univibe88 ? And would you be able to get some of the Black Watch Pendleton Wool ? I would consider ordering one of those as well. Only I would want the Oregon style shirt but with two pocket flaps instead of just the one. That's how my three Lawless shirts are customized...thanks to sal for hooking that up back in the innocent, happy days of Lawless....
