Close to buying the Japan Black Heavy Workshirt, anybody have experience with this one? Worth pulling the trigger?

There was a ton of good stuff in the stock store, which I like 10x better than backing and waiting 2-4 months. Picked up a chambray WS and Japan Acorn chinos.

Zloomies are marked down to $120. Quite a few sizes left.

Every now and then there will be a legit markdown that shows up in the stock store, but pretty rare and usually only on things that have a single item remaining. From what I've seen.

Are they also undersized?

Was the general consensus that these sew up about one size small? Also, can anyone comment on how much the waist shrinks? Might have to pick up a pair at that price.

Zloomies are marked down to $120. Quite a few sizes left. I'd nab the 37 straights, if I could unload my 38 straights. Post-soak, the 38 fit, but they are a tad relaxed for my liking.

So those stock zloomies came. Aaaaand they measure 18", maybe 18.5" if I stretch firmly for a 38 slim. JFC. Why haven't I learned yet?

I seriously can't button the top button. And I wear a 36 in their sizing (when they come in at spec). And the rear rise is obscene. Guess they have to go back or get stretched and never be anywhere with relative humidity >20%. Maybe I can use that rack in exophobe's backyard. Grrr.

Yes I find it strange that they resell (presumably returned) missized items without retagging them. Surely they just get into a vicious loop of getting returned & re-bought?

Better question: why haven't THEY learned yet? No kidding. A black sharpie can change the sizing tag, amirite? Because that would be admitting that they use returns in the stock store which they claim they don't do.

Beware of that jute blend. I just sent my 34 slims back...those are sewing up almost one size smaller. I'm feeling very glad that I decided to size up to 34 on these Jute's for my first gustin jeans purchase! I usually wear size 32 in denim, so hopefully these will fit perfectly. They arrive on Monday, I'll post back with my results!

Was certain I'd seen that discussed here more than once, but just skimmed this whole thread and didn't find it. Maybe it was on SF or /r or I took their sales copy too literally. In hindsight, it would be weird and wasteful if they didn't resell returns.

They're either going to resell it as individual offerings in the stock store, or in the forms of grab bags.

I suppose it's a grey area whether a return due to a flaw in the garment (under spec, poor stitching) makes it a "second" in the eyes of Gustin.

My jeans were stretched at the waist and seems to be why they're out of spec. They were like this before I started wearing em in.
Far as I know Gustin takes returns as long as they don't seem worn (creases behind knees prolly wouldn't fly)

I feel like the waist will stretch out enough to be wearable, just have to be careful in the future when washing. Fabric is really great though, very rigid and has a unique texture with lots of little neps throughout.

Subsound Awww man, that black x black workshirt looks great! I was part of the canceled/out of denim group from that order. If anyone out there has one in regular medium/slim large they want to get rid of I'm super interested in it.
