There's always one, but would I be correct to assume this isn't related to his work? I like his flicks but he's an epic moron. I'll watch them but won't pay the movie theater prices to buy it. Can't fund that. And those that work hard appreciate that. Not. Separate the man and the work. I'd wager that if you "knew" anyone making movies or music, you'd be not enjoying any of it.

Hell, no one should listen to me then. My wife will vouch for my stupidity.

Such good news, looks like the 70mm roadshow is going to be playing here in the backwoods of Denver, starting Christmas, no less.

Well that was a wasted trip. Went to watch the Hateful Eight tonight and as soon as i got there it sold out. I guess my assumption about nobody going to the theater on x-mas eve was completely wrong.

You gotta buy the tickets ahead of time! I wanted to go see The Big Short since tonight is the only night it's showing in Colorado before 2016, but I had family stuff to attend to. Stupid holidays ruin everything!

Three hours tonight, but no driving. I think I'll get drunk this time... This year has been the best for screeners - so far about 26 of them. Man, there's some real sleep-inducing films though. Glad I didn't have to drive or pay for a few of them.

Glad I didn't have to drive or pay for a few of them. Just got back from Hateful Eight. With a packed theater of uncomfortable people that couldn't get into f!@king Star Wars. Going by myself I barely found a seat. I did enjoy it, though I was a little worried when my recent cutting back on caffeine nearly resulted in a nap during the first half. Star Wars traffic really had a negative effect on the whole experience, though. I couldn't even get popcorn since the theater was so amazingly understaffed, and missed the first five minutes of the movie because they only had one person checking tickets, leaving me behind 20 people waiting to get in to a movie starting 30 minutes later.

Winterland - also, when did the forum start censoring profanity?

Winterland - also, when did the forum start censoring profanity? There is filter that can be turned on. I don't believe there are many words in it. We have always promoted the idea of everyone using manners and being gentleman and woman. Nothing prudish, we would just like this be a positive place, a forum you could let your kids read without being worried. As we can't read every post this is a safety measure.

Finally saw The Hateful Eight tonight and enjoyed it a lot. I though QT's references to Carpenter's The Thing were awesome. Of course, only a dork like me would've noticed. Overall a great film....loved it more the Star Wars for sure

Carpenter's The Thing is without doubt in my Top Five films of all-time. It's an almost perfect film. Have been waiting for The Hateful Eight to arrive on Blu-Ray so we can watch it on the projector with a bottle of wine but this had made me think I might not be able to wait and may have to head to the cinema.

Saw it at the studios' 70MM theater where it was amazing - and the sound too. Seeing it at home, sans the intermission, etc. was not as spectacular. But that's partly due to the length and having just watched it. Revenant may be a better movie overall with a similarly cold and dark story, but QT is unique with humor and over the top that nobody else does as well.

I also watched the Hateful Eight last week. Samuel L. Jackson and Kurt Russell where doing some impeccable acting in this film as always! But I feel that actress Jennifer Jason Leigh stole the show! I have not really seen her on film since the movies Fast Times at Ridgemont High and eXistenZ. I love most Tarantino films for the over the top violence and dark humor! And I am glad the he did not put himself in a cameo role. I dislike Quentin Tarantino as an actor. I also got the "Thing" references as it has always been one of of my favorite movies. I wonder if Kurt Russel had A slight case of Déjà vu during some of the scenes in this movie?

Looking forward to the movie! Tim Roth was decent in the movie. Although, I couldn't help but think of Christoph Waltz' character from Django. I almost feel like Waltz would've been slightly better as a villain in The Hateful Eight, but then again, it would suck if he was always being typecast for bad guy roles

If course it was Waltz' role. But as was said, he was busy. With that, I'm glad because as much as I love Waltz - I do - it was nice to break up the QT cast a tad. It made it more believable because sometimes the cast recognition can get in the way for me...

I don't know. Aside from Jennifer Jason Leigh and the actor who played Mexican Bob everyone else has been in QT's films before. I just think Waltz would've done a better job as one of the villains than Tim Roth, and I like Tim Roth
