Might just get for the sole although it it seldom wet here Woolrich Yankee BootI have them in black, the construction is solid and the wool lining is nice when it's cold. Wool rich is still making them, so the price definitely fluctuates. These are great at under $200, but at full price I'd look for red wings on sale.

For 164 I might grab em. I wear size 10 wolverine 1000 mile. Should I size these the same? Wish I'd gone 10 with iron rangers. Got those in 10.5. Slightly large with regular socks.

I'd say they lengthwise they're pretty equal to red wing, but they do run wider. I'd stick with the 10, it should be pretty equivalent.

Maybe I'll grab em. I don't really "need" them but then I'd have a boot with a winter sole in case I ever find myself in those conditions. Current boots incl black iron ranger, brown 1000 Mile Courtland, desert boots, Clarks hiking boot. What the heck? This might be a good grab.

Might get some flat waxed laces but other than that I'll beat em up

Heck of a price. Mine should arrive Friday. Not surenwhen I'll wear them but since they should last a LONG time I figured why not have them.

Nice looking boots. Much more "blue collar" than wolverine 1000M due in some part to the nylon laces and the offset shoelace hole rivets. More like construction work moc toes. They appear quite quality. On par with Wolverine. Small things attributable to human construction. Very comfortable on first wear. I'm a brannock 10.5 and bought these in a 10. Some people recommend sizing a full size down. I think I could wear a 9.5 with thin socks but they'd be a little tight with a thicker wool sock. These are Horween Chromexcel and look great. Light I color. The vibram soles should be comfortable on all kinds of terrain. The wool liner is not very thick or intrusive. I think just enough to keep them soft and warm. Not sure how often I'll wear these. I have aa pair of Clark's I wear camping but no reason I can't add these to the rotation. I know they'll last for years and they're worth $162. Not sure I'd pay $300. As I mentioned I might try to find some flat waxed laces to replace these.

Any thoughts on what color laces would look good? I'm thinking of replacing these with flat waxed laces like on 1000M boots

Worn these a few times now. Right out of the box they are VERY comfortable. The cxl doesn't take any break in and the footbed is plenty comfy.
I'd say these are a deal in the $175 range. I also think they're slightly better made than my 1K Wolverines.
Still I find the wolverines more "worth" the price. I would T pay $300 for these. But that's just my opinion.
Really good boots.
