Another Japanese brand that i'm sure you're all familiar with. Don't own any pieces by them but saw some stuff on the BiG site that looked good. I'm especially fond of their corduroy Rancher Jacket which I've seen for $260 and change via Rakuten. Anyway, don't know how their jeans are compared to the likes of PBJ but the repro stuff looks decent.

Nice jacket, but lots of polyester unfortunately (not an issue for some, I'm just a snob with it).
Having said that I have their heavy chambray workshirt and it is FANTASTIC. Highly, highly recommended.

Highly, highly recommended. the polyester thing doesn't bother me so much with the rancher jacket. I was checking their flannels on Rakuten and I believe those are a poly/cotton blend, which I dislike.

pics? how do sashiko jeans compare to traditional denim? they're slacks - just as a five pocket using sashiko fabric.

Were those on sale during Black Friday? If they were, damn do I regret not grabbing a pair. The 36 specs look perfect.

Thinking of buying a Studio D'Artisan work shirt. But, the only ones they have left are the poly/cotton blends. Not a fan of blends but they sure look nice for $130

Those shashiko jeans look just like the material my Judo gi was made out of. It is incredibly tough material! A pair of jeans or trousers made with this weave would be interesting.

ordered the 5539 workshirt from Denimio this morning. Probably won't ship for another week since they're closed for the New Years holiday. Despite not being a fan of poly blends for flannel I went ahead and bought it anyway. They were sold out of the other styles I wanted in my size and would've preferred red, but the pickings were slim.

I got the yellow version of this shirt and the vintage look makes it one of my favorites. At $130 I would prefer pure cotton, but the poly-blend feels airy and soft and might add to the 50's/60's vibe?

I noticed too that there was very little shrinkage, probably due to it being a poly blend. My only dislike is that because of the poly blend it almost has a sheen to it if you look close enough

I just took a look after reading your comment and did notice a the individual fibers had some shine to them, interesting. I liked the Yellow so much I immediately ordered the red; which is cool but doesn't hit the same buttons with me (doesn't scream vintage?). I haven't decided if I want to hassle with the exchange process or add it to the pile of checkered flannels!

It's a versatile color imo and pairs well with anything

What size are you in TS?

I have a pair of their indigo overdye selvedge jeans and I ordered their new waxed canvas long haul trucker. With SDA I ordered an xl and I'm close to you in ht/wt...5'11, 175lbs. Fits me perfectly

disheveled does that shirt drink scotch on the rocks and play Uno in the kitchen while smoking lucky strikes? If that shirt was my Grandpa it would totally be doing that at the cabin....but oddly enough that shirt reminds me of my grandpa too, so I totally get what you're saying with the cabin 50s vibe. Unfortunately their sizing doesn't work out for me or Id probably pick up some of their shirts as well.
