How's everyone holding up? Pretty damn awful. It happened where we stayed in 2011. So hard to believe how awful people can be. I am sad for the people of France. They are our friends and oldest allies... |

Agreed, beautiful city and great people. Sending them all good thoughts. I'm a big fan of Eagles of Death Metal, glad they're all physically okay.

As much as we as a country trade jabs with the French about cultural differences and just general poking at each other, there is a real love there. Like two old friends talking shit at the bar. I'll call you a jackass but I've got your back at all times.
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, what happened is atrocious on so many levels.
Much more minor note - when I saw who was playing there I had a brief flash that Josh Homme might have joined the ranks of musicians we've lost. So many musicians I like dabble in that band. Turns out he wan't on this tour. Glad those in the band who are accounted for are OK and hope the rest of the crew turn up.
Just sucks. It's hard not to let emotions take over at times like these.
