devastitis does have a point though....it does make it a bit different since it's off white and maroon....but I still keep picturing table cloth/picnic blanket.

I think it would have been better without one of the two solid colours, preferably losing the cream. Then the difference would have been less marked.
I don't feel the same about the other UHFs, but they're darker and work better.

XL is all gone Can you grab me that large? Specs are a tad bigger on the 101s compared to the 127s. Maybe it'll make a difference.

Looks good on you devastitis. I still don't know about that colorway though for me personally. Did you cop it off of IHUK? You must have. What's your thoughts on it other than you like it a lot? I've been reading that a lot of the guys are saying it looks more off white and maroon in real life than the pictures portray, in a good way. It looks that way to me too from some of the fit pics I've been seeing.

It's more natural colored than white, almost a very very very light grey in some lighting, and the maroon is more cranberry colored, like a deep darker red. Can't say much about fit and quality, because it's pretty much exactly the same as the 127 westerns. I love my 127s, but these seem like a they'll go great with lighter colors in the early and late winters.

I think my first soak of that thing would be in tea or coffee to antique it.

BTW, cellbitch's post just reminded me of something. Some of the guys in the Iron Heart thread are reporting that they are getting significant shrinkage on their 127's after a wash. One guy said he got about 1.5" of shrink in the length after a cold machine wash/low heat dryer cycle. I think the dryer was the culprit in this. Last year I got about a size of shrink out of my black IHSH-107 after a warm wash/warm machine dry so these things can definitely get some shrink if you want them too. I was happy with my shrink on the 107 though as I ordered about a size too big. Anyways, just an FYI. I'll post this over in the 127 thread as well.

I actually did that for a j crew flannel a few years back that was was waaaaay too patriotic-looking. The white was blinding. Tossed it in some strongly-brewed coffee for a couple hrs and it looked much less offensive. Hasn't really washed out, either. Just a nice, dusty antiqued look.

devastitis, that's a great fit. I'd probably jump on a shirt like that without the cream, as the other colours look great in a subtle way. The maroon parts are my favourite UHF colours so far.

I think my first soak of that thing would be in tea or coffee to antique it. Might work out, but I wouldn't be tossing my $300 dollar flannel in a cup of joe.

Finally came in, a week after ordering. My verdict? I like it LESS in person. Still an amazing shirt, but the colors are not what I expected. Looks alot more purplish/oatmeal than maroon/cream. I'll definitely be ordering more kakishibu to see how this will turn out.
