Planning on purchasing these as my first over 15 oz pair. Does anyone own them? I'm hesitant on sizing. I'm a size 32 in the 666S-II (IndigoxIndigo). Thigh fits pretty well and waist is perfect there.
However, a 32 in these is small, and the 33 is only a 32.7 inch waist size. The thigh is also small.
The thigh on a 33 would work, but I'm concerned about the waist and seat. My ideal waist size is a 33 or 33.5 like the S-II has.
A 34 would be too big at 34" (plus stretch), but a 33 is a bit small at 32.7.
Anyone help? Can I expect much shrink or stretch? These are apparently one washed.

If you are purchasing from IHUK contact them and they might go through their inventory and hand pick the pair that is closest to your measurements.

Just shoot them an email and tell them what waist and thigh measurement you are looking for and they will go through their inventory and measure them for you to find the closest match.

Picked them up from Rodeo Bros, a few months back. They came to IHUK specs. I typically wear 36, in most brands, because size 35 isn't an option. I prefer a 35.5" waist. Spec for the 19L size 36 is just that. Out of the box, they were perfectly snug. Other jawns, and summer heat limited their wear, until recently. But, I've got 15-20 wears in them now. I've only gotten about .25" of stretch, thus far. The denim is quite substantial. It definitely wears more like a 20+ oz. I've commented before, it's built like a suit of armor. Hands down, the toughest break in of any denim I have owned. They are unsanforized. But, the fabric is once washed, due to what Giles has termed the "unpredictability" of the denim. I have not washed/soaked them, and probably won't for some time to come. But, it is my understanding, there will be no shrinkage. I'd say, I think you will be able to get the stretch you need from the 33. But, be prepared to work for it. The denim itself, and the fade potential is certainly worth it, especially at Rodeo Bros/Rakuten prices. I paid around $210 with shipping. Edit: I've got the 666s-II, too. They are size 36. Definitely more generous. I wish they fit more like the Lefties. :/

Even a half inch of shrink will be PERFECT.

They stretch a good amount, I've been wearing a pair since april. I'd go for the 33, soaking did shrink them a tad but a few wears brought them back. I went for a 36 when I normally wear a 34 in gustin etc and kinda wish I'd gone 34 and just went with a few uncomfortable wears. Just my opinion, they are great jeans, good weight and breath really well. Good luck.
P.S. The thigh is definitely the smallest measurement, so if that's an issue at all go 34 and wear a belt.

Definitely need a 34 for the thigh. Did you get any stretch out of the thigh? The thigh measures basically the same as my 33 slim gustin, which is good, but I'm worried about a 19 oz fabric. Also, has anyone purchased from Fukuraku before?

I've never been hit with customs ever at all. I've ordered rolex watches to iron heart stuff from japan with no custom fees ever.

Yeah the thigh doesn't stretch much, the 36's are similar to my gustin 34 slims. So good call.

Recently, I saw some discussion about the Lefties, and I thought I'd give an update... I've been taking a slow and steady approach with them. I've had them for around 18 months. But, I've only worn them 3-4 days a week, September through May. I have not worn them to work, either. I figure they have about 5 months of daily wear in them, total. Pics... They don't have a slubby feel. But, they do have enough to create a nice vertical grain. They've got a great "dirty" weft show through, as well. I've said it before, this stuff is like armor. They feel every bit as substantial as my 20+oz denims, if not more. For the price, they're a steal. These are version 1. IHUK has it in the 634 and 666 cuts, and have them on special for $240, in limited sizing. I know Rodeo Bros has them for around $200, but I'm not sure if they are carrying v1 or v2. If version 2 is anywhere near this good, it's definitely worth it. Side note... The belt is from Marshdown. Where you at, @stevekas ? I'm sure I'm not alone, when I say, your contributions to this forum are missed...

Wore my Marshdown belt yesterday. Fades and weft on those look very similar to my 22oz Oni.

Wore my Marshdown belt yesterday. Fades and weft on those look very similar to my 22oz Oni. They are very similar in shade, and tone of weft. The weft of the 19L is a touch dirtier, and the warp of the Kabuki has a slightly more blueish hue. Undoubtedly, due to the natural indigo. Unfortunately, the fades on my 575s were barely starting, when I sold them to hopsbreath, and I've barely worn my replacement 546. So, I can't speak to the similarity of fades, yet. Edit: It may be some time before I'm ever be able to make a comparison. As you can attest, the ONI are slow faders, and I won't have them in heavy rotation until I'm done working over the Lefties.

Yeah, I should have traded mine for 546's too. Certainly a better cut. Actually once they start to fade, they seem to be pretty quick. It's just taken about two years to get them to even start. But then I haven't worn them much until this fall when I decided to just deal with the huge cut. I'm a little afraid that once I do wash them they'll just look like white jeans.

scooter the fabric looks identical to my V. 2 pair and IIRC the only difference that IH states there is between the two versions is that version 2 is a little softer. It's a very nice fabric, I'm very happy with my pair and you are right these are a steal when bought off of Rakuten. These seem to be fast faders judging by my pair so far. They crock quite a bit and my hands always have indigo on them towards the end of the day. looking good Scooter

Updating... I've had these for roughly 2 years, now. Worn September through May, 3 - 4 times a week. I figure they've got around 250 total wears. 2 washes. No soaks...
