Please no wreaths with the double s. The ampersand helps, but this is still a little touchy. My vote is for "S&SF" vice "S&S" or "SS".

Dunno, I'm not bothered by Schutzstaffel associations w/ "SS". To me, it's only an acronym...that happened to be used 70 years ago by a bunch of extremists. Selvedgestyle - a crew of heritage/workwear-interested folks in 2015 need not feel that "SS" is universally taboo &/or in any way reminiscent of nazis etc. This is only my opinion & I have no wish to offend or provoke others...but, for me, "SS" is fine.

The ones making a decision need to determine if they are creating a logo that will be used for other things. If not then it should be fairly simple. If so then it should somehow represent an idea. The problem with "SS" is that most people will see it and their mind will insert a meaning. Probably either "super sport" or "the SS"

Just some fun...
Now that SS font and wings do bring on bad associations for me. Thanks for trying though. I will have any updated version of what I am thinking soon. Will do a couple versions. SS, S&S. S&SF etc.

Once again in the context being used if people associate super sport that is fine with me. Within the context of how we are using it and also font wise I don't think anyone will have bad associations unless they are reaching.

I've seen people get "stuck" with logos that they really don't like long term.

hey guys, Just a thought, if we're worried about the ss looking too super sport or bad vibes, What if we took one of the S and reversed it, then inter twine them? or just "book" them? IDK just thinking

I don't believe we (I) will be able to get past an association with the SS. Why don't we just spell out the words Selvedge & Style and leave it at that as the logo

Not sure how to respond - I know you're both joking but there's zero humor in that.

Not sure how to respond - I know you're both joking but there's zero humor in that. I'd disagree with you there. The term has been used in comedy since the 60's with Hogans Heroes. Seinfeld. Nobody was making light of history - context is everything. So for me, I'll just back out of the whole thing. I don't want PC panties...

PC Panties, next years anniversary offering. Made with Organic denim sourced from D'Lord Denim. Though I'm sure anymore if that name is PC.
