I have it and like it a lot. I think it's the cheapest shirt IH do, so a real bargain at Rakuten prices. A nice, solid, heavyish shirt.

Yeah I almost got it several times, its just a little too much carpenter for me to wear at work and have way to much clothes to only wear at home now so gotta think a little to maximise use in the future. But it definately looks solid and I can see it becoming very nice after alot of use.

I'm wearing mine at work just now and it just looks like a normal shirt, only better, of course The blue stripe is wider than the white, but it's still a light coloured stripey shirt. One nice thing is that it seems to be softening up more than the 62 Wabash with even less wear. so it'll just keep betting better. For Rakuten money, it's an absolute steal.

Maybe its something Scandinavian but trust me, around here it is not just like a normal shirt but definitely reminds people of work work. Same with the wabash. The Wabisabi is pushin it but works now when its not so blue yet.

Have you read through the thread on that shirt on the IH forum to see what kind of shrink is expected on these? Good advice there. Don't have an IH one, but my experience with cotton RR stripe is that you can get some big time shrinkage with some of it. I would think that with the quality of IH, it should be minimal at best, but good to look into.

hey, just saw you posted over on the IH thread david2403..lol. Did you read through that thread? I'm sure you will find the info on what type of shrinkage guys are getting out of these in there. If I was in between sizes I would probably go with the XXL, just my personal opinion. If anything I would rather err on the slightly larger side than the slightly smaller side of the spectrum, especially if you can get some shrink out of them. Also I like my shirts to fit on the larger side.

If its way big, you can always hotsoak and then spin it dry with the lowest spin cyckle inside out and then tumble and stand by the tumbler and take it out every 5 mins and measure or try on...when it has shrunk enough you hang it to dry the rest.
I have found this works on shirts and pants and it use to stay at this size even after more washes, but I always wash these "operated on" clothes in cold and low spin and hang dry for the rest of their life.
They use to shrink most in the armlength and shirts length tho, so heads up and dont forget it in the tumbler!!

I'm pretty seriously considering this as my first Iron Heart purchase. Any other pieces I should look into before I make a final decision?

Any other pieces I should look into before I make a final decision? if you are interested in the IHSI-21 I have one for sale in a size Large that's brand spankin new with the tags still on it. I ordered a L and an XL as I wasn't sure on sizing and the XL fits me best. I forgot I had this Large one till I was going through my closet the other day.

Are you wanting your first IH purchase to be a shirt? If so, what exactly are you looking for and what style(s) do you like? I think a shirt would suit me pretty well right now since I'm pretty set on jeans for the foreseeable future, but I'm sure I'll end up with some 634s at some point. As far as style, most of my shirts are flannels or chamois shirts so I want to branch out from that a bit. My vibe is generally fairly rugged so that's why I was thinking the Hickory Stripes and I don't have a Western shirt but have always wanted one. Also, I really appreciate your offer on the IHSI-21, but I think I'd need to go with either an XXL or perhaps even an XXXL in Iron Heart stuff for it to work for me.
