Honestly, I don't know how to price it! I'm out drinking right now, so I'll get pictures of the full backside for you later, probably tomorrow. Maybe Old26 or another jacket afficianado can chime in and give an explanation of the spots.

Griffin I can tell you that the back is better condition than the front. That's what REALLY makes me think that it was a window display piece for a long time. I honestly don't think anyone wore it before me. If you reference the original post I linked from when I bought it, there were NO wear creases.....

Hard to say - they don't just look like spots to me - they look like indentations. Lying on the ground or some bumpy surface. Putting it in the sun for a day or two will help with some of the smell and mold if there is any. Then if you own this, you can use Vaseline or Pecards (of course there are others, these are what I use based on very smart maker's recommendations). It's a cool piece - older too. Looks like a Harris Tween lining, but if this was posted on TFL or the AeroLeather Facebook page, they could give more info on it...I'd like to see pics of the zip - looks "Talon" but hard to see there.

It's Talon, if I'm not mistaken.
I want to post it there, but I know it will go fast there. I want to give the guys that I "know" a chance before it goes to the wolves.
When I first got it, as referenced in the old post, the spots were just spots. They didn't become indentations until I treated it with Obenauf's

Could me mold that ate away and pitted it. Not sure - pics are hard to judge things leather.
It's a great jacket - I'd buy one like that in a second if it were my size. That's the beauty of a vintage well-used jacket. It's badass. And the cracking of Horse around the fold of the neck is common on older jackets. Sweat/salt from the wearer(s) deteriorate it more quickly than steer or goat it seems.
That's why I normally wear a collared shirt with mine, or make sure to clean the neck fold regularly just with a damp cloth, then treat 1-2x a year to keep that from rotting.

I was wondering what Old26 was doing in a size 38 discussion. Still love this jacket, even with the imperfections, maybe because of them. I can't diet my way into it though.

I love it, too. The boxy 1980's shape of it makes it not fit in my wardrobe...
Honestly, if nobody buys it, I plan to take it to a tailor and get the sleeves chopped

I might have been to early here, I forgot two Aero 38 are not the same. Mine is customized with a taper and longer arms and sleeves, and I also think mine is wider p2p, I didnt notice the measurements at first.
But is it really only 23" from bottom of collar to end of jacket? Then its definately a no-go.
I would clean it with saddle soap to be sure to get rid of eventual mold and then drench it in pecards once and then just beat it like laying on the back on the asphalt looking at underside of car and so on.

Bump!
Anyone want more specific pictures or measurements, let me know.
I've been looking around the Vintage area of the Aero website, and I see these can go for a pretty penny. I'm not trying to kill anyone's bank account though. I'm looking for $425, shipping included.

Thanks. The herringbone effect is so subtle I can hardly see it. I wonder if they'll do the grey too, but at least they're doing different fabrics. I look forward to seeing yours.
