Making belts for some dudes I know.... Looking for a new day gig (anyone need a rocket scientist?). Had to quit the glorified sweatshop I was doing the engineer thing at. Kids/Entrepreneur/GF goals vs making some other jerk rich 80 hours a week. Easy choice. Now to go heat up some Ramen....it's gonna be an interesting ride. Still want to play engineer, just not to the point that I forget what the sun looks like. Right on Steve. f!@k working for the man. Best of luck to you. Way to go dude. Strangely, I have a close friend who is also an aerospace engineer who has the same complaint and is starting a motorcycle bag company next month.

Fun stuff. Hernia surgery tomorrow 7am. I have only had tonsils removed and wisdom teeth pulled. I will finally have a couple cool scars. Hoping recovery is fast, have a Ringo Starr concert to go to Friday. I might need extra painkillers. Yikes! Get better soon!

Thanks. Not sure if anyone else has had hernia surgery but it's definitely been interesting. I will be walking around like an old man for a few days at least. Trying to get some good rest and eating well. I have my ice pack and pills so I am good to go. I will probably be using a walking stick to go to the Ringo show tonight. There will be no head banging tonight.

That's an old person favorite to be transported to the hospital.

Up way too early for a morning flight and ride on the L Train in Chicago for a Grammy meeting. Might check out a few clothing stores. A tour of the Horween leather factory would be cool if they give them.

That reminds me..... I really need to take a drive by Wicker Park, one of these days.

Ran out of time for shopping. On the way back on the train to airport after a hard day of listening to music. I didn't even spend any money. Doesn't happen very often. @david mildblend.com looks like they have some 3-Sixteen denim I could have tried to see if I like the fit. Oh well could have been too tempting.

Winterland...yeah mildblend is a good shop. they carry railcar, 3sixteen, rogue territory, n&f, momo...and keep expanding their lines. they've done a few collabs, but so far those have been primarily a standard cut/fabric with a special patch. definitely a good place where you could try to find a fit that works well for you.

He's unable to build, something to do with an agreement with the state/city waving taxes for 100 years for not building. not really sure on that except that he can't build.

Yeah, I like the guy. He's only 29 and running a farm, you gotta admire that. Runs a sugar house in the spring, Apple orchard (up the street), pick your own strawberry patch, grass fed Cows, hogs, and a pancake house on the weekends (I'm tired just listing/posting everything he does)

How many cows? My ex's parents house was near one and when the wind blew right. It smelled like complete manure. This had a good amount of cows that had a barn there too.
God I hate farm animals.

Cows aren't bad but you don't want to be anywhere close to pig farm.

This is our concern but I'm trying to respect his rights to use his land. Right now he only has 20 +- head. But I'm thinking he'll increasing the herd by another 20+. It's one thing to drive by a farm but it'll be another thing smelling it all summer. He's a cool guy that's trying to draw in the city folk to his grass feed $20 a pound beef. So I'm thinking that he'll want to keep the stink down. Though he did mention that he's hoping to get Dairy cows. So I may be $&!% out of luck.

My uncle would call it "the smell of money". Shame to see an orchard go anyway.

All part of the pleasure of country living. The alternative is living in cookie-cutter suburbia or the city. Eff that noise, doesn't work for me.
