Doing some actual labor lugging some gear. Helping set up for a remote audio recording this weekend. Full Gospel Choir with band Hammond organ, drums, guitar, 10 lead vocal mics, everything. Full iron heart uniform today, jeans and black shirt. Picture taker could have been better, cut off my shoes what can I say.

Getting away from the city for a bit. Friends family getaway. 365 acres. Just woods, a couple streams, ponds, horses, deer and sweet sweet wifi (though I've limited myself)

IH contracts their own fabrics, and even buy up the flawed runs to destroy it so nobody else can buy it and use it. yeah...i hear that. but i think it's odd that another company released ombre flannels this season in the same exact colorways and a 10oz weight. The Iron Heart Ombres are 12 oz, not 10. It's a different fabric and I know for certain because I thought the same thing as you so I asked Giles in the IH forum and he said the fabrics are different. Not sure if weight is the only difference or if there are also slight variations in the color patterns but they are not the same fabric.

Those are some interesting hangers you've got for the denim on the rack. What are they? they're raw steel S hooks that i pick up from Staples of all places, just over a buck each: www.staples.com/7-inch-Raw-Steel-Large-Jeans-Hook/product_216715i've used them to hang jeans from the back middle loop when i'd fold them inward but that effectively doubled up on space so i had to rearrange things a few months ago and just hang them from a side loop. if these weren't so damn expensive, i'd be all over them... Might have to check these out. Although, i'm wondering if i should just just buy some shower curtain S hooks instead from Target or Bed Bath & Beyond?

Making belts for some dudes I know....
Looking for a new day gig (anyone need a rocket scientist?). Had to quit the glorified sweatshop I was doing the engineer thing at. Kids/Entrepreneur/GF goals vs making some other jerk rich 80 hours a week.
Easy choice. Now to go heat up some Ramen....it's gonna be an interesting ride.
Still want to play engineer, just not to the point that I forget what the sun looks like.

Quit grad school 4 classes shy of a masters so not really a scientist. I do/did work on rockets though. It can be awesome and also take years off your life via anxiety and stress. "Rocket Scientist"....I never call myself that, I just took advantage this one time lol. I always kind of cringe when people call me one because in my head I'm still the same kid I was at 17...that guy was not destined for this career ha ha

Haha...they are indeed. Flourishing in the area in question in the face of shrinking habitat. I'd like to hear the story.

I love burrowing owls. I have a mildly funny college story about them. Tenacious little bastards.... Haha...they are indeed. Flourishing in the area in question in the face of shrinking habitat. I'd like to hear the story. Well, I'll keep it short.....like I said....mildly funny. There was a tall sidewalk at ASU when I was going there that had a few 6" drain outlets in the side of it. Just basic, open holes. Some burrowing owls decided this was a good place to set up a homestead since they were essentially concrete versions of the rabbit holes they usually take over. So, ASU, hot weather and hot girls in packs so thick you couldn't throw a rock without hitting three. People (hot girls) would walk down the sidewalk and when they would pass over the area the burrow owls had occupied, said owls would stick their heads out of the side of the sidewalk and screech like rabid wack a moles. Hot females would shreik, jump, jiggle, drop books and then bend over to pick up their scattered posessions. It was a great way to pass 10 minutes between classes. Like Benny Hill, Punked and Candid Camera all in one experience. Lasted a couple weeks, people got wise and AZ Game and Fish came out and relocated the little guys. God bless those owls. Sure were a lot of commando girls at ASU.....good times fellas.....good times.

Going to engineering college at ASU was a study in contrast. Inside the classroom, hateful bitter professors and an insane workload of hard subjects. The attrition rate from freshman to graduation was somthing like 90% when I went there. You didn't graduate you became a member of a small group of survivors lol.....
Then you go outside.....nubile young things everywhere and people who study 3-4 hours a week.
Not complaining mind you, I picked off my share from the herd while I was there.....when I had time anyway.

Fun stuff. Hernia surgery tomorrow 7am. I have only had tonsils removed and wisdom teeth pulled. I will finally have a couple cool scars. Hoping recovery is fast, have a Ringo Starr concert to go to Friday. I might need extra painkillers.
