Surely people got this shirt, though nobody seems to have posted pics or impressions of it. It appears to have sold out quickly, so I'm a little surprised to find no mention of it anywhere (I searched a couple places). If you've got one, or had one & returned it, please chime in - I'd love to know how the fabric & final garment look and feel in hand. I quit buying Gustin a long time ago but just realized I still have a chunk of credit to either use or get rid of. I realize that it's pricey compared to their standard oxford offerings (which I was not charmed by when I tried in blue and gray) but perhaps it is indeed a nice shirt? I've become really addicted to other $100+ shirting (like Wool & Prince, for example) and am having a hard time imagining I'll enjoy a G shirt as much at more-or-less the same price.

If the problem you had with the gustin was the fit, then it's not going to matter how much you like the fabric, you won't wear it. I'd recommend using that credit on their heavy belt offerings or wait to see how the shoes and boots turn out and put it into those. If you're set on a shirt, please elaborate on what you didn't like about the previous attempts. These are a lighter weight chambray, so quite different than the Oxford cloth. I don't have this shirt but I do like their oxfords, and have a number of shirts across their fits.

Main complaints were that I didn't feel the G oxfords (I had first or second run) were of a $100+ value, so I was hoping to hear this fabric was something really unique looking or feeling (such as the True Blue Silk offered in jeans compared to other various denims).
I should really just sell the credit, as I don't really know what size would fit best anymore. I used to be a classic medium but am now definitely a large or perhaps slim xl since I started working out this year :/

I used to be a classic medium but am now definitely a large or perhaps slim xl since I started working out this year :/ yeah it's a lightweight selvedge chambray, so it'll be "gauzy". I love their actual OCBD's (the oxford cloth ones, blue, white, grey, wine, hunter and I think they had a black one) and have three of them plus a pinpoint. If you didn't like the fabrics on those I'm not sure Gustin is going to be able to make you happy. If you do decide to go with one, I fully recommend the slim cut over the classic, and if you're tall, the tall fit is better in a couple ways, but it's definitely long in the body and arms. If you're looking for some of their more interesting fabrics, I'd look for one of the monster twills, or perhaps that monster oxford they're running right now, since that looks like it's substantially heavier than their normal oxfords -- I just wish they were making it into a damn workshirt since those tiny collar buttons are going to be eaten.

Yeesh. I was thinking of the chambray. Do you have any other gustin oxfords to compare the fabric to?

#109 the classic chambray is comparable in feel just at 7oz not 5oz like the concrete, my GF loves the concrete btw. But it's not as soft. I have G chambrays ranging from 4 to 7oz at this point. All nice once you get your sizing right. I started with small, then mediums, then medium slim, then settled on medium. I'm 5'9 140# and 29 waist in G denim. 30 in chinos.

Interesting that you too settled on Classic medium. I was going to try medium slim but I'm 5'10, 170lbs.

To be completely clear about my decision, the reason I settled on classic medium was for more chest size than the slim medium. The slim medium has the same chest size as the classic small I think. My perfect size would be classic medium in the chest and slim medium in the waist. Having a 29" waist and all. I think you should stay with classic medium.

Interesting that you too settled on Classic medium. I was going to try medium slim but I'm 5'10, 170lbs. You'd have to be really slim up top to fit in a medium slim. When I was 165~170 lbs, I could fit in a Classic Medium pretty well, but unable to button to the top button.

I feel like the sleeves are just a tiny bit too long on the classic medium and same for the length. No way I can do a tighter chest though. I'm really not complaining because the Gustin shirts do fit me better then anything else I've found.

No way I can do a tighter chest though. I'm really not complaining because the Gustin shirts do fit me better then anything else I've found. I'm 5'10" w/16" neck with many Classic Mediums. Before, I was 160lb w/38.5" chest, now 165lb with 40" chest from gym activity (thought sizes were supposed to shrink, not go up - hah!). I had slight pulling at the chest button before, but now it is tighter than I am comfortable with as I don't like the very-fitted/snug look. The neck of the mediums has never fit, so top button has always gone unbuttoned. The best remedy I found was to purchase Large Slim (or Medium Long if the chest and neck of medium fit you fine) and have them tailored - gives more of a medium fit than large, neck button is able to be fastened, overall torso and arm lengths can be tailored to just the right length for me - alternatively, torso length is better for shirts that will be tucked as they wont come undone. If you're wanting an untucked shirt, you have enough length to tailor the bottom of the torso as you please and give it less dramatic scoops & more of an even / straight cut. While the slim and long fits are harder to come by second hand, getting them for lower prices gives you a fair tailoring budget with the money saved.
