i'm not a big type 2 fan but this jacket is pretty sharp looking. how's the fit on this one?

a bit more modern than i was expecting. i probably should have sized down on it to get it to fall just below my belt (and possibly shorten the sleeves) but it's a good piece for layering so i don't regret the 5.

They have got to be due for a new production on these soon @ pbj..
so want this jacket or the blue owl momotaro deep indigo colab jacket whichever I can get first hopefully pure blue Japan. size 5 got the 4 once sent it back couldn't lift my arms in it so snug of a fit..spent so much already & just getting started.

wabisabi - not sure where you live or what you'll use it for but know that the PBJ jacket is very light. it's a good layering piece but i only get a few wears out of it at a time on its own.

BOW is doing another Momotaro type2 collab due out this month I believe, but in black. Seen that on grailed also size 3 damn the luck.
also seen a bom jacket size 38 which I think is to small also.
if I was jay from blue owl would have made both jackets in deep indigo & the blkXblk in type 2&3.
why does momotaro not make the deep indigo jacket themselves without the collaboration is beyond me it would sell well imo.

well I guess I dreamed my way into getting the deep indigo jacket from pbj after all.
had a gut feeling even after pure blue Japan themselves told me they had no set production date for the deep indigo jacket.
went on Okayama denim earlier & guess what they got stock but must have not been many & I got possibly the last size 5 if not the only one they had:D
happy as hell been back and forth trying to figure what other jacket I wanted but only this one appeased my taste.
been after this jacket for a year now had a size 4 in the herringbone navy coated pbj jacket from @denimio but it was way to small so I had to send it back..
hopefully this size 5 works out.
still had size 3&4 if anyone is interested for 250$ @ okayama.

I hope i sized correctly. The 4 lists a chest measurement of 43" which is what i need but they state that the model in the picture is something like 6'2 and 205 lbs and it looks big on him. Im 5'11, 175 lbs, so i hope I'm not swimming in it

I looked at the fit pic from Rivet & Hide and their model is a little over 6 ft and 180+ lbs. A 4 should fit me fine. The irony of buying this jacket: my mom just sent me $200 from Japan and i just turned around and sunk it all back into the Japanese economy. Thanks, Ma  |

I was hoping for a trim cut, but considering I am thinner than the model a size 4 may be fuller than I was hoping. Please let us know how it fits when you get yours, and post a couple pics if you could, please! What's your height/weight? The size 4 strikes me as a size large based on their measurements. BiG has similar measurements so i think i should be safe. I just know that i can't go below a 43" chest which is how the 4 measures up. The 3 comes out at a 40" chest |

I am 5'11" and 150 lbs, it's the shoulders and long sleeves of the size 4 that make me think it won't fit me right. A size 3 looks good all over except for the chest which would be tight for me.
Despite that, I am also confused about Okayama's model pictures, you would think that jacket would fit him tight given his weight but seems there is room to spare.

My solution to the longer cuff is to simply roll it. It almost sounds like a 3 would be better for you, but if a 40" chest is too small i can see why you'd hesitate. Another option for you might be the Oni Denim type 2 that's for sale via Denimio. It looks the same as PBJ's and is only $197. The downside is that they don't have measurements posted for this jacket. Im thinking of splurging on a few things from Denim myself. Their prices are infinitely better than OD's. |

I actually considered that Oni deep indigo that is actually Oxford canvas but it should fade just as well..
that indigo patch on the oni deep indigo hox jacket was a real nice touch also..
good thing I'm broke or it be mine

I'm hoping mines arrives before x-mas as well.
on a side note, RRL also has a ltd edition type 2, but it's $590 if you feel like spending that kinda cash.
