Ahhhh - the stuff fade contests are made of. The ol' deep indigo with a gorgeous PBJ weave at the heart of it. Here's a post-soak/pre-wear look at these. Will get them rolling as Fall hits and rotate with my Dark SKs to see which reigns supreme. Fit: Tight/Slim Tapered Fabric: 14oz PBJ custom Japanese denim Full albumTeaser:

They look awesome. Are you going to specifically wear just one pair to fade? Or keep a large rotation

Pretty sure bugula blocked me so he can't see any of my posts. I'm interested to see which pair in his collection will be his go to pair to fade, if any.

So im working these slow but steady and are starting too see some really nice progress. Anyone else getting somewhere?
I like the fit, they are just a smidge too easy to stretch out, they are unwashed after initial soak but are soaked some times after that and they tighten up nice after a warm hang-dry but stretch back kinda fast so Im looking forqard to the first real wash and a steady normal wear/wash cycle so they are more tight more of the time.
They are also a little long and with the kinda wide hem I cant wear sneakers bc they will then drag on the asphalt and thats no good so I gotta wear boots or chukkas. Im thinking I should hem them but at the same time I will then loose all progress down there so my plan is to hope they shrink a smidge in a real wash/dry.
They arent as slubby as the loomies from G but feel great to wear so are absolutely one of my top 3 jeans right now. I baby them a little, dont want to wear when doing projects and stuff so as I said - slow and steady just the way she likes it!

I found some awesome fade photos of the xx-012. I thought I had decided on a pair of xx-014 purple weft or possibly a pair of xx-018 cobalt weft. But after seeing the fades on these I am not so sure now! I think am developing a love/hate relationship with this forum I get my sights set on a pair of jeans and I'm about ready to pull the trigger. Then I see another pair I think I want more! ha ha ha!

Too easy to stretch out and the hem is too wide. I need to hem/taper mine before I really put some wear into them.

Looks sick..I think an unwashed 34 would be perfect for me to break in for a month before washing.

typo right...you mean 12 months? Well, there's the completely raw version and the one wash version. If I were to get the completely raw version, I'd break it in first before soaking it down. Unless you're not supposed to wash even the unwashed version for a full year.

Yep, soak unsanforized before wearing.

Yep, soak unsanforized before wearing. I remember reading here that if the fit might become too small from soaking first, break them in for a few weeks before washing, so that they stretch more easily to your size. I wouldn't get enough shrink from a 36, and possibly too much shrink from a 34.
