For the shirts, the fit guide goes to XL, but you can order an XXL. Are there measurements posted for an XXL somewhere. I'm only seeing the shirt measurements up to XL. I'm trying to decide between the XL and the XXL.

Quick update - my coworker who I referred to Lawless just went in for his fitting this morning. He's new to the selvedge scene, but dove right in with the 18.5 oz. He got fitted and aside from having a minor adjustment to the thigh (he noted he had them taken in slightly), he raved over the quality of the production, and the timeliness of the turnaround (from order through fitting delivery). He really liked the feel of the 18.5 oz - he said really soft and not at all starchy.
Good sign that our orders are finishing up/beginning to ship.

From the looks of the KS comments page LD has been sending out orders but also are still working out getting people confirm emails on their KS orders. They have almost 500 orders to be processed & then made which seams like a tall mountain to climb. The crazy thing is there are people on KS who are mad because they haven't received their confirm email yet claiming its October even though the campaign states orders will start going out in November. I would think the confirm emails are going out as they get to the jean to avoid confusion that a jean was made already or in the works. At this point I will totally understand & expect if my online order gets put on the back burner so that they can concentrate on KS . That is so important for the future of Lawless & for us who want/need Lawless to succeed for our own selfish reasons which is a place to buy good stuff for under $100 "Creator Lawless Denim & Co. on September 19 James, Finishing your denim and Leather Tote on monday. they both ship next week. Hope you like them!! -Roman James Yang on September 19 I backed two bags, just wanted to make sure you guys have orders for them? One was the handmade oiled leather tote in black with floating inside leather pocket. Comes with our Signature Handmade Lawless Leather Key Chain Tassel. The other was a selvedge Tote. Thanks." Pretty sure it's responses like these that confuses backers?

I think Lawless like any growing brand will deal with growing faster than the productt can be made. The KS campaign was introduced to increase productivity so over the next several months to a year Lawless should begin to iron out all the kinks & begin to handle the growth. People forget that they are making the jeans in house & are not sending anything to well oiled factories that are sourced. Think how long Gustin takes to make what they sell & they send it out to factories that are already pumping out product with ease. If Lawless can get the KS orders out in a matter of 2 months I will think over the next year or so things will get really good at Lawless. Roy Slaper the one man brand (Roy Jeans) makes his jeans in batches of 150-175. It takes him 2-3 months to finish 150-175 by himself & he is really great at it. Thats an average of 3-4 jeans a day from one person with 25 days actual work per month. If Lawless has maybe a handful of people making jeans but maybe arent as good as Roy & they can make 2 jeans a day thats 100 jeans in 2 months per person. So depending on how many people are making the jeans & how good they are, i think 2 or 3 months should be plenty of time to handle the KS orders which I think were around 500. Of course I am speculating on skill & could be talking out of my ass Article about Roy Slaper which talks about how long it can take to complete his jeans www.diablomag.com/August-2013/The-Crafts-Man/

devastitis - Completely honest thinking from your end. I can see where some more detail in the communications is needed. We had a similar discussion in another thread (between David and myself) and I posed a couple of thoughts to him, which I also shared with Roman for his feedback: Me (to David) A couple factors to consider (from observation) - they moved from the Cityscape Phoenix location just after the end of the KS, moving the storefront to the production warehouse location. Roman is essentially the "face" of the brand, with a small team managing the order process on the daily and overseeing the production. Has there communication strategy been perfect? Not exactly, but I think a few variables are in play with regards to the KS messaging: - Did you order more than one pair? If so, consider that they are probably moving quickly through the one-off pairs. - I would assume there is a process to their production. For example, I believe they did a run of the 18.5 earlier in this production process. Producing on average 25+ pairs per day (just jeans) would signal that they focus certain machines/sewers on a yardage allotment of denim first, then proceed to the next roll (versus producing A/B/C for one customer). - I ordered 3 different pairs, I would assume that Roman will be delivering all 3 at once and not piece meal, which I would agree with. I can see the benefit and disadvantage of the transparency. We know a lot and influence a lot of the front-end, but we're all getting a little antsy when we think it's falling apart on the production end. Completely logical thinking, so maybe we inquire. (communicated the aforementioned to Roman) (Roman's response): Spoke with Roman. " Long story short: Bottom line is that is has taken huge amount of man hours to sort this out. They can rest assured they will get there product by the end of November as promised. A late summary does not mean a late product delivery. "This was more in the context of denim and related, but I know it pertains to bags, etc. I think we're being too quick to judge in many instances - I'm not sure it's necessary to be hyper critical of a delay if the quality is spot-on. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt until I have more products in hand. I wouldn't worry about the quality - I've seen the totes and they look good. I've been tempted to buy one for my gf just on site alone. I think you'll be really happy with them. I do agree, they should be a little clearer with timing, etc. in email.

I actually didn't mind if they take until November. I knew everything was going to be shipped out in November, which is what I agreed on when I backed them in the first place. I just wanted him to confirm that they had my order, not when it would ship. I just don't understand why he, the owner of the business, said, in the middle of September, to expect it to be shipped out the following week. Made no sense to me to make that kind of bold statement in the comments page without following through on it. So I completely understand when some people have cold feet about it. I didn't cancel my orders, and am patiently waiting for them.

So I debated on whether I should start a whole new thread on this or not, but just decided to post it here.
I just received a phone call from Laura at Lawless. She called to let me know that the black 14oz Japanese fabric I picked for my Work Shirt has been delayed and won't be here for another three weeks. She then wanted to follow up with me on my KS orders as there were some minor issues with it that I was dealing with Roman on and she wanted to make sure it was being taken care of, which I did resolve with her over the phone just now.
This was very impressive to me and also very refreshing. Not only did she contact me to discuss several issues with my orders but she did so by actually calling me. That has NEVER happened to me before. So far the CS from Lawless has been amazing and I couldn't be any happier with it. Great job Roman and the Lawless team, you guys rock.

Totally agree Ickes...I was just on the Lawless site, because I've lost some weight since the KS. I was hoping it wasn't too late to change my waist size. When I went on the site, The chat box said "offline please leave a message" So I did...in a matter of seconds, guess who shows up? Roman himself! We chatted for a few moments while Laura tracked down my jeans. Luckily for me, she caught them and changed the waist size for me. I must say that he's a great guy and fun to talk to. I assure everyone that he's serious about what he does, and want's everyone to be happy with their purchase. This guy goes "above and beyond" what ANY other vendor I've dealt with, and I mean ANY, be it online purchases or real brick and mortar stores. He's totally accommodating, and transparent. I mean, come on...when have you seen a web store with a chat box where the owner himself will answer you? There may be others that I'm not aware of but, I think it speaks VOLUMES on what kind of man he is, and how serious he is about making us all satisfied customers. Look at what he's done for us here...20 free pairs of jeans, custom sized shirts for Scott, chambray onesies, even willing to make a pair of jeans for someone who sent him their own fabric. What more could you want or ask for? Roman bends over backwards for his customers, from what I've seen so far.
Call me Fanboy...but I like his style and I believe in Roman and his team, and their business. I want for them to be successful. When I get my jeans in, I'm going to be screaming the virtues of Lawless, and I'm sure you guys will to, and Roman is counting on us to do just that. I'm looking forward to being a loyal customer for years to come. I know I may get pooped on here, only because I don't have product in hand, but thanks to Unnamed, I've seen the finished product, and that's good enough for me. I trust Roman, and he's not given me any reason not to.

Derek G 20 free pairs of jeans? How did I miss that? I have to agree with everything you said. I've been helping with the new site and Roman and his team have been awesome. I've already sent two of my colleagues to the site and I know at least one has already placed an order and by the way the other was talking and drooling over the fabric, I'm sure he'll order a couple of pairs before long.

Yeah, 20 free pairs. unfortunately, I missed out on it too Roman came on here one night and offered a free pair of jeans to the first 20 people who responded. He wanted to get his product into our hands, so we could review the quality of his work, as, at that time there were questions. That's how damn serious he is. I can't say for sure, but I think that's how Unnamed got his so soon. You, and your teams' experience, just reinforces my thoughts and admiration for Lawless and for Roman himself. Judging by the way experienced "denimheads" treat start up denim shops, It takes a lot of balls to quit an already successful career, and start making jeans. Roman has some big cajones to do what he's doing, and I HIGHLY respect that. If a man believes in himself that much, well I do too, and will have his back all the way.

I am always a day late dollar short on things like that. You know Derek I love reading your posts because it reminds me of my enthusiasm when I started getting into denim. Your addiction to denim will only get worse/better as you start adding more & more brands to your knowledge bank. Just think about some of the stuff we talk about & enjoy. If my friends knew about my alter ego DIRTY DENIM I'd get stoned

Why Thank you DD! that was very kind of of you I am enthusiastic about my new addiction! I like to read your posts too, I have gleaned much knowledge from you sensei. I have come far in a short time, thanks to you, and many others here, and the G board over the last year. From the most seasoned to the least experienced...I learn, and soak up the knowledge like stevekas' naturals soaked up that kakishibu. I thank you, one and ALL. You guys have taught me things about denim and fashions in general, that I would never have discovered on my own. Hell...even music I've never heard of. If I hadn't discovered Gustin and the wonderful folks I met there, I would probably be sporting some Rock Revivals right now lol, seriously. Not that there's anything wrong with them, I just like raw selvedge better Edit...My wife thanks you all too. I dress much better these days Edit v2....back on topic...Trust Roman and go and get yer self some custom gear!

you know, even though I haven't ordered and definitely haven't received anything from Lawless, it's so hard to forget that the way they're doing this stuff is out there. I know that in the past many of us have mused about a Gustin where you go to a site, pick the fabric, and then tell them what you want made out of it. Think the denim is wrong for jeans but would be perfect in a workshirt, or a CPO, or a trucker? Love the denim but want tonal thread, or contrast thread, whatever it isn't? Why the hell not?
I think this is a truly brilliant thing that's being put together, and after he's had a few months to work out the kinks, but to figure that you could go somewhere, pick a fabric that's in stock, pick what you want made out of it, and then decide your own design details... From the sound of it, the construction is on point, the desire to find and offer unique fabrics is there, and as long as they don't lose their minds going through this massive influx of business, I think the game's done been changed. It's time for 18oz zimbabwe cotton denim dress shirts, chambray chinos (that said, please let me choose a 5 pocket style for any fabric) truckers and chore coats, and tin cloth CPOs! Making custom fabrics is a good side project, but if you ask me, they've found the niche in the market needing to be filled.
If Roman or crew are reading this, just know that a lot of us here are pulling for you, so take care of yourselves and knock this thing out of the park.

chambray chinos (that said, please let me choose a 5 pocket style for any fabric) Y'all must have forgot who i am..... "The UnTucked Gentleman" lol. So yeah, those 20 pairs he gave away? Living in Okinawa, Japan I missed the offering because of the 15hr time difference. I hit him up about it the day after the giving spree, and *Poof!* 21 pairs of free jeans!!! Well, I'll say 20 pairs of jeans and 1 pair of heavy chambray 5 pockets!

I plan to do a FULL review of Lawless. I have on order 1 pair of pants, 2 shirts and 1 black leather jacket. I'm not a "jacket guy", but I'm no dummy... If that jacket comes out spot-on, these guys can have first dibs on my money for fashion purchases for years to come!

Honestly I've been avoiding LD. I have a feeling its going to be like Crack! So far I've only taken a few hits off of his joint (KS chambray, denim Waster and a canvas WS). But if they come in right, I'm hooked!
