this is our first attempt at a duffle bag...WAR BAG!!
this is only a prototype so we can get the shape down.[ duffle ] we have been working on for a customer....
is is SQUARE duffle bag....
the customer ordered the following:
40 OZ OILED DUCK CANVAS Scotland Halley Stevenson [ so he does not have to wax the bag by hand ]
LINING: 12.5 OZ TEXS DENIM
SIZE 24x12 x12
the SAMPLE we made in a Natural Duck canvas with navy duck canvas trim... and cotton ticking for the liner...
I went out and bought the 36" [ cheap] nylon zipper..just to finish the bag... we will use a YKK # 10 brass zipper for the actual order...
the whole look of the bag is more of a weekend, beach bag..TEH SAMPLE WE MADE...
but the actual bag will be better in the Oiled canvas and leather. where the navy is.....IS where we are going to use leather VEG TAN...
also we learned that we need to use a heavier weight fabric INSIDE THE BAG .that ticking stripe looks good but my machines eat this stuff up since it is so light..[ DENIM MONSTER MACHINES/...HHAAAAAAA]
So this is the over all shape...we will do leather patches and no hand stamping for the actual order..and we need to add feet also..and we are going to add leather strips along the zipper on the side pockets and a leather shoulder STRAP....all brass trims MADE IN THE USA....
we only offer this as a special make up per a customer request..we will not offer this on the website until we get our orders down to the 6-8 week time frame...so this will only be available to forum members only as a special make up...so let us know what you are looking for...2-3 bags a month is ok for us......
