Bravestar put out a nice professional statement last night regarding this. Sharing it here because it's relevant.

Denimheads,
Yesterday I received an announcement from Cone Mills that they would be officially ceasing all production and operations and permanently close the White Oak plant in North Carolina as of Dec 31st 2017. You might already have heard the news on the denim blogs and forums but I wanted to inform you directly and confirm the validity of this announcement. While disappointing, I want to take this opportunity to assure you and our extended family of Brave Star supporters that this will in no way affect or threaten Brave Star as a business going forward. As many of you know our supply chain with the worlds best denim mills is extensive and deep and I have developed solid relationships with them over the last 25 years. We will continue to offer you the worlds best selvedge qualities of all weights and indigo shade varieties at the most transparent prices available.
Cone Mills is certainly a unique resource and their library of selvage qualities will surely be missed in our lineup in the future. You, our newsletter subscribers, are the first to be notified of this breaking announcement and we will be making a public announcement on our website and social media channels this coming weekend. With this in mind I urge you to consider picking up a Cone Mills selvedge quality still currently available on our website (although rapidly depleting since the news got out) as we will not be raising prices on the remaining website inventory. Once this inventory is gone we will revisit our pricing structure on any and all Cone Mills selvedge denim as it becomes more scarce, desirable and collectable.
Stay Raw
Sincerely, Mik
