Got the Heavyweight Indigo Tee in today in size Large. I really like it and I'm glad I sized up as this is a relatively thick/coarse-feeling tee with less give. Shoulders fit spot-on, which is the most important thing for me. The sleeves could be a touch wider/longer and the chest is a bit loose, but it'll hopefully shrink after a hot wash. Regardless, I'm bulking, so it works out well. Here's personal measurements: Chest (1" under pit): 22.5" Sleeve: 8.25" Front body length: 27.5" Shoulder: 17.5" Comparing that with Gustin's fit guide, the chest is 0.5" wider and the shoulder is 0.5" smaller. got the same thing today in medium. Not too impressed. I like the color variation on the shirt and the fit (thought around the Arms!) but it wasn't soft like my Nayional Athletic Goods shirt. Anyways, this will probably be my last buy at Gustin in a while. The only thing I really want from them are their boots, but then there are so many other options. Can you post personal measurements of your size Medium tee? Would like to compare vs. my measurements for the size Large. Thanks.

They also seem to have taken a page from early Ferrari's book on the boots. You can have any color you want as long as it's brown. I imagine they'll get back to them as we get closer to a winter/spring ship date, though. I guess so. If they had different colors for this tee it might be a bit appealing. The cotton clearly isn't pima cotton however so I'm not that impressed. Hopefully they'll have more exciting colors.

I probably wouldn't have even been interested had it not been indigo -- heavyweight tees aren't typically my bag. Indigo tees at somewhat reasonable prices are rare, though, so I got on board.

I don't know if my elbow would fit through that, if I was able to get my hand through.

It's gonna be hard to get heavy, indigo dyed AND soft. Personally, it's the best tee I own. It's a hearty shirt, and unlike any other tee fabric I've ever felt. It feels like it'll last for years.

If you want softy soft soft shirts, you're barking up the wrong tree backing a 9 oz. tee.

This is a good t shirt, just not that in the market for it for me. Maybe I'll love the shirt as time goes along.

When did you guys back it? ( wavesbeneath as well). I backed the first run (I think) of the 2 from March. Backed it On 3/17 ....and it funded on 3/28. So, 3 months ago. My status is still from 5/20, saying they should ship mid-june. I'm no newbie to G's ways (well over 50 orders. ack).... so I'm not shocked. But, c'mon. I posted the fund date on my campaign a few posts up, but I think this is the same company that they said was difficult to work with supplying this fabric, so I think it just took longer. I think we were in the same campaign. edit: Mine funded 3/29, so I'm assuming you were crew since I am vee. I am V-neck as well. Not a big deal, just a T-shirt and all, but it's been a while since I placed any G orders, so I guess I kinda forgot how G rolls. Thanks for the replies guys! date: Mon, Mar 28, 2016 at 8:45 AM

what's so good about the indigo? I like the color but why is this so good? Indigo is just a different class of dye. Maybe on a tshirt it's a bit pointless, but it develops a character based on use and care that no other blue dye does. The reason it's so good is that it's so bad at holding on to the cotton that it really becomes your own. Why do people wear blue jeans even though they are known for changing color over their life? If you just want a navy shirt that will remain the same shade of navy, for the most part, until the day you retire it, an indigo tee ain't it.

I was kind if interested in the concept of an indigo tee just to see what it is like. I'll wear it and see how it fades I guess regularly. Hopefully some cool pattern shows up. Good points about how badly cotton holds indigo. It makes a lot of sense for the raw denim people to like the dye, but I have no idea how it'll be for the tee.

I realize they produce them in size batches, but it just always feels a little bit off for me. Taylor Stitch does the same thing, so it's not like there's an opposite precedent, I just don't like it. :/

Well my backup heavyweight indigo shipped yesterday and my Zim Superlights shipped today.
Excited about the Superlight splurge, most I ever spent on a pair of jeans.
And now.......I have no open orders with Lord G or anywhere else.
I feel weird.
oh and they have heavyweight indigo's in stock right now on the front page.........

I wear my Japan Superlights as Summer workpants when I am out in the yard. JUST now getting some fades after almost 2 years of wear but they are super comfortable. Zims will most likely be even better.

And I found out they are hard faders and I"m not a fade guy, so that helped too.

Got my heavy indigo t and light ZIms today.
T is the same as the first run.
Zims sewed up real pretty and fit great. I'm gonna guess it's an easy fabric to work with or because it's a little more expensive they take extra care?
In any event, I swear the G pattern has been altered slightly over the last six months. Slightly more room in the thighs and the backrise for a little ball room.
Very happy with the Zims. Now I can just sit back and wait on some Herringbone options to be dropped. Getting quite a few pairs of jeans now in the collection.
