Has anyone reached out to G regarding the Italian Albiate Oxford shirts? they have a May ETA however I can still update my size and shipping address which makes me think we may have am issue. I did. My email: Hi, Just wondering if you could provide an update on these 2 shirts. #338 Italian Indigo and #339 Italian Black Sulfur Oxfords Thanks for your time. T-Town The response: Hi T-Town, Thanks for reaching out. We're still shipping these orders as they arrive to us, but I've prioritized your orders with the fulfillment team to ship out as soon as we receive those sizes and styles. Hope this helps, but let us know if you have any questions. Cheers, Seems like they didn't even look at what shirts I was asking about. That or I'll be getting my shirts first, suckahs! Yeah they absolutely did not read your email or truthfully comment on what you were asking. I would fire back with more details... I hope they are still making them!

My reply:
No, your email really didn't help, sorry to say. I wasn't asking about my shirts in particular, though I would be happy to get them. It was more that there have been no "Production Status" updates made for either of these shirts since they funded. It seems unusual.
Thanks, -T-Town

Thanks, -T-Town I wish it were unusual, I honestly don't remember if any of the most recent shirts I've received ever had updates. I learned a long time ago it's best to order it and forget it, it's just too much stress to worry about those updates when they so rarely actually happen. I hope you get an answer you're happy with.

Stress or worry wouldn't be words I'd choose. Mild curiosity, is more like it. It's just a shirt. At this point, I wouldn't mind too much they do get cancelled and my money is refunded.

I've had a similar experience with some G chinos. As the estimated shipping date got closer and closer it was apparent I wasn't going to get them on time. I ended up getting them ~6 weeks late. Oh well. I really like the pants. In the year or so that I've been getting a reasonable percentage of my clothing purchases through preorders (G, TS, Ciano), I've gotten used to waiting. On the bright side, it makes buying stuff that's in stock and arrives in a week seem like a real treat.

I would hope for more frequent updates once something is delayed, but that's always proven an exercise in futility, so I just don't think about it. I started with Gustin and Kickstarter projects in general to combat my "want-it-now" mentality that Amazon was giving me, and build patience with things that, in the end, don't matter as much. After a couple years, I've found that it not only helped with that, but in most cases has resulted in less desire to collect things (though I still have some consumer vices). The frustrating part tends to be that my needs will shift over a 12 month period, and then suddenly work shirts are less necessary than less rugged button-down/ups. This can start to contribute to a pack-rat mentality, which is the next challenge.

G's response to my latest email makes me believe that there is no "Production Status" because they just don't know what that status is.
Well okay then.

I actually have a bunch of stuff I am waiting on at this time - navy CXL boat shoes - 3 pack USA t shirts #23 (cypress green, iron oxide, paper) - Okayama standards - 3 pack slub t's are still funding but of course I am confident...
About a year ago I was going batshit nuts with Gustin and ordered all kinds of stuff. I made a concerted effort to cool off the credit card after that but now I find I am back in the trap of checking in for drops, admiring some close up pic of some cool fabric, and pushing that oh-so-easy to push "Fund It" button...

This is the primary draw with G's stuff....the price and the interesting denim. I had my brief spurt last Fall where I spent about $500 on denim. After that I lost interest and now i'd rather buy rtw stuff instead. The appeal is kinda there but I can easily say no these days. I've forced myself not to make purchases simply because they're cheap but because the quality is better

Please share pictures of those boat shoes when they show, I'm curious about them (though highly unlikely to ever purchase a pair since boat shoes just aren't my thing).

I do love me some boat shoes. I have high hopes that the moccasin construction will be well executed. I backed them before the natty cxl version dropped and I am thinking those may have been a better match with indigo denim, but I have always wanted a pair of blue shoes so what the f*ck.

Kinda forgot I ordered a western but, "Production status: 5/26 update: Western Shirts are in sewing now!" Looking forward to receiving it now that we're probably under a month out at this point. Here's hoping they do a great job with them.

If the fit is as good as I hope it is I would definitely branch out to other styles. The t's actually seem like one of the better values they have right now.

I've got a 3 pack of T shirts, and a pair of Okayama standards on order. I'm like most that have dealt with Gustin through the years, in that its simply best to sit back and wait until it shows up. Many of us here have more clothes than needed, including myself, so its not much of a concern.

Sienna-Green Low Top USA T-Shirt Variety 3-Pack #18 USA T-Shirt Variety 3-Pack #10 Cone Stretch Okayama Standard
The wait on the t-shirts has been a bit interminable because of the problems with the dyeing house, but seems like they'll get here soon enough.

Anyone seen any recent movement on heavyweight indigo or oil-washed tees? It's the middle of the month and I'm shirtless.

Got a notification that the first run of the pine oil-washed T shipped today. Mine appears to be on the way. Worried about the indigo that funded what feels like 4-6 weeks before that oily pine, though. Edit: mar 29 on indigo, 420 on oil wash.
