Just purchased a pair of Gustin natural duck canvas jeans (https://www.weargustin.com/store/384) NWOT on Grailed. They should be here in a few days, and I'm stoked. I've never owned a pair of jeans this color!

Got shipment notice of the Brown Organics, and waiting for shipment of the Raw Umbers and Zimbs, as well as the Gustin Hbone CPO. They're slowly trickling in.

Got the shipping notification for my Japan Olive's, but also an email to say the Loomstates were pushed back to December.
So that'll be 16 items so far, all with separate delivery charges and fees. I really hope Lawless can combine items in one package, as the overseas costs really bump up the price.

Just bought an Army canvas chore coat from B/S/T in size L. Can't wait to try my first jacket from Gustin.

My Italian IxI's should arrive tomorrow. Just saw the new product pics for these on the G site and am stoked. Been wearing the same pair of Gustin Jades for two months now and am feeling ready for a change of pace. These super saturated Indigo's should be perfect.

The delays, not your Japan Olive shipment. The prioritized stuff (five denims only) that they started cutting in the first week of November and were working hard to get out before the end of the month is now shipping first week of December. BUT I WANT IT NOW!!! *stamps feet*

BUT I WANT IT NOW!!! *stamps feet* I think they suffered from strategic triage.. production certainly isn't ordered by commitment date. If they wanted to ship the prioritized denims in November, they could have made it happen I believe they are managing discontent by ensuring most customers are satisfied and I will bet money that "delivery to promise" or "on time delivery" is a metric they are tracking. If a campaign is late, it's late.. they'd prefer to make a late campaign even later to ensure other campaigns are fulfilled on time. Those affected will be disappointed, anyway. As we've seen, they'd rather alienate a portion of their client base rather than upset the entire client base. It also reinforces the perception that some people are just whining when most people are fine. Remember @julians sizing issues? @wils is the marketing guy.. I know a thing or two about operations.

got this from Ren today...not sure if I care but a lot seems to not be going their way lately.
"In regards to your Indigo Waffle Dobby shirt order, we recently learned that our cutter accidentally used the wrong marker for the fabric and mistakenly cut off the selvedge ID. We're going to have these shirts sewn up as is. They'll look exactly the same, but there will not be a selvedge ID on the inside of the shirt placket."

Same here, apparently it's credit season over at Gustin. I'm not sure where they're finding these people, and I don't know how upset I am. I mean I guess I'm alright, and they claim they'll ship before Thanksgiving. If that doesn't happen then I guess I'll reassess my feelings. Though I almost wouldn't be surprised if it shows up with a frayed placket where the fabric was cut off, but maybe that's just the shit week I'm having.

That's crap I would be upset. Getting any money off? The selvage is a nice detail on a $100 shirt.

Oh and it's not the fact that the selvage ID makes or breaks the shirt but it's the point that you paid for one thing and that is now different. Kinda like when I got the grey silk 2 instead with out being told.

i find it ironic that the device that keeps the fabric together is precisely what they cut off.
i find it funny that it happens to a whole run and there is no sample testing happening.

Ha.. thanks, wisdom. I am not going to bore people with the definition of "brand promise". With my marketing hat on, I "think" Gustin has done a supreme job to develop a very strong "brand promise" that are tied directly to the core of many of the member's emotion here. Lately, when the messages and actions from Gustin are no longer consistence with those early promises, I feel people are getting a little confused and are having "love/hate" relationships with the brand. The emotional state is quite similar to a couple breakup due to promises being broken from the other side. Being fair to Gustin, it is very difficult for them to consistently deliver their brand promises because of their outsourcing everything model. On the other hand, Lawless is like a new girlfriend who is giving people what he was hoping for from his last girlfriend. That is why there are so much love to Lawless lately.... hopefully, this new girlfriend doesn't break our heart again.

I'm pretty sure I'm over-reacting cause I'm in a bad mood, but this has me pretty upset, especially since this is the first update they've provided on this shirt. Just hope that since they cut off the square edge of the fabric that they managed to sew it straight, but I'm pretty certain I know how that's gonna go.

HOpefully you guys are getting something out of it considering you're receiving a different shirt than you backed. I agree that this should be comped somehow. The selvedge detail is important to some people and both the customer and probably Gustin paid a premium for it. It doesn't matter whose fault it is.. the customer isn't getting what they paid for. Not that the customer should care what Gustin does, if the sew shop messed up, they should be penalized by Gustin.

I don't want to sustain your anger, but I think your reaction is completely justified. I didn't read Ren's email (didn't order), but there needs to be a bit more contrition and ownership of this problem.
