Booooo, got the dreaded 1% email last night. It was the last Gustin order I was waiting for! Now they've sucked me back in! Oh well, store credit plus $10. Now we wait for something great... maybe Zim18's if they come back. What was the product? Just a Midnight Plaid shirt I ordered back at the end of November. I was trying a different size/fit to gauge the Gustin shirts. Given the quality issues with their patterned shirts, it's probably for the best. I'll just spend the credit on denim now.

Given some of the horror shows that "passed" QA/QC, the mind reels at the thought of what a shirt deemed too bad to send out might look like. Frankly, I think the 1% stuff is code for, "We f!@ked up and ran out of fabric."

I'm new here and thought I'd add my 2 cents. I'm waiting for the Postal Herringbone workshirt and will give my opinion once it arrives. Supposedly, it's being sewn but we'll see.

I'm waiting on this as well and I'm eager for it's arrival. There's a few pics of it over on the work shirt thread, if you haven't found them yet. Great looking shirt!

I have some zims coming in March/April (for sale too!). Does anyone have experience with contacting G and saying you decided you don't want them and getting store credit instead? I couldn't wait and bought some zims off the forum here and they are perfect but now that the carmel heavy chinos dropped I'd like to switch it over to those but not even sure that's an option.

When I emailed in asking if I could change size they said no, but that they could cancel my order for credit if I knew the size wouldn't work out. I didn't take them up on it, so don't know more than that.

Contacted them and got my refund and I'm in on the heavy carmel chinos. Things worked out.

Did anyone get a shipping notice for the J17's yet? Still nothing for me.

Did anyone get a shipping notice for the J17's yet? Still nothing for me. Nada. Seems to be another missed deadline, one of many for the Japan 17s. Not sure how it is G took the entire month of February to deliver a 'finished' product. I don't mind waiting, but the least they could do is give more realistic updates. I received 2 updates, both completely inaccurate. Currently at 3 months and counting. What is going on with their production??

Never got a shipping email, but I received my t-shirts today, from the first campaign. Shipped on the 23rd. Happy with them!

They've been in "finishing" since late January, and now they say "2/18: Final orders arriving for shipment, should have all orders shipped by next Wednesday (today)" and still no shipment +1 on wanting realistic updates.

would someone please post a fit pic of the T shirts? I happened to be wearing one of them today. Sorry for the poor photography
Edit: That's a size medium, my usual t-shirt size.

bennyrum, thank you so much! Would you mind telling me your height and weight? Also, do you think they are worth the money and wait? would you order them again?

Edit: That's a size medium, my usual t-shirt size. That looks a tad bit big on you. Like it kinda drapes on you. I think if they had a slim medium, it'd be a better fit. For me, t-shirts, although not skin tight, shouldn't be loose. What's your Gustin shirt size? Slim medium? Classic Small? But then again, if you're happy with them, then that's awesome.

bennyrum, thank you so much! Would you mind telling me your height and weight? Also, do you think they are worth the money and wait? would you order them again? I'd like to know too. Also, what is your chest size? I'm 5'9 160 and quite a bit more muscular than you and I ordered a size small.

Thanks for the input. I'm 6'2" and 150 lbs, not sure on chest size. I've always had a hard time finding well fitting clothes, and with the variety of fits G offers, I feel like I can get close. Most shirts are either too baggy or too short on me(sleeves and/or back length). T-shirts are so basic, though, and I most often wear something over them.
As for sizing, I only have 2 G shirts so far; they're both Tall Small (I went for the closest neck and sleeve size to my dress shirts) and I love the fit, perfect for people like me that are disproportionately tall and don't want to wear a bedsheet just to have the sleeves reach the wrist.
I did get this from the first 3-pack. All three shirts (black, white and grey) are sewn up well, and the fabric has a nice, good quality feel to it. The black and white are full cotton and the grey (pictured) is a poly-cotton blend. I would say it's worth the $13/shirt price if you're not in a hurry. However, if you already have a good go-to brand for basic t-shirts, waiting 2 months for a few t-shirts might be kind of silly. I don't, and I don't usually have time or think to run to old navy or whatever. I have an order in for one of the other 3-packs (blue/red/vanilla), and I won't be cancelling it.
One observation that wasn't apparent to me until I looked at my picutre: the heather-ish grain on the grey shirt is sewn up pretty angled. It'd look better with the grain running horizontal, but we all know how many f!@ks they give about level patterns.

I think you can get away with it on t-shirt and, in some ways, it presents a more 'designer' type look... as does the fit on you, which I think works really well. Given G's marketing hoopla it almost pains me to say it, but that DOES look like a t-shirt that could quite easily be in the silly money ballpark.

The t-shirts are good. I'm 5'10 170 pounds and if they were any tighter I would be worried about my man boobs. I'm worried about putting them in the dryer to be honest. I may actually get them dry cleaned to try to avoid any shrinking. Large would have been too big, they are perfect on me now. I can't think of what else I'd want in a Tshirt... they're t-shirts!

I am unsure the chemical used for dry clean is good for the cotton fabric or your skin. Just cold wash and hang dry should be fine on shrinkage.

Except that I've got about 3 weeks of cold weather left, so these will go on the closet until next year. What irrtates me is the lack of communication and completely wrong updates. They need to be proactive in reaching out. At this point, any more delays constitute more than a $10 credit.

Edit: That's a size medium, my usual t-shirt size. Is it just me, or is the grain of the material on the slant? Shouldn't it be dead horizontal? Have they misaligned the fabric on a t-shirt?
