So I'm on the hunt for an honest to goodness work shirt to do some actual work in. So I want it to be strong: 7 oz. or heavier. And made of duck or twill or some sort of canvas. I'd like to be able to wax it. I'm gonna be doing some trail clearing so I'd like it to hold up. Plus some other heavy labor weekend stuff.
Plus, I'd like it to also look cool so not like a giant boxy carhartt. And I'd like to get it for sub $120.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Cause you've got to look cool when you're clearing trails... Well damn whiskeyriver, aren't you a demanding one... ...jk. In all honesty I'd just pick up a cheapo Red Kap or Dickies WS and be done with it but if you absolutely have to still be somewhat stylish while you're working then I'd actually probably go with a Gustin WS. Ive beat the hell out of my G IxI WS in my shop and for the purpose of doing actual work they are pretty damn good. I think there's some in the stock store right now

Yeah I would say something cheap. Walmart special.

I wouldn't wax a shirt. It'll over heat you and keep any perspiration in. Here's my cheep suggestion selvedgestyle.com/thread/851/good-cheap-goodsFor something nicer id stick to a canvas shirt. But $80 - 130 is a tough price point. That's why I've come around to Gustin being a good deal (still $120+) So i guess that leaves EBay. I just picked up a Tellason Clampdown. Green moss for $125 (NWT).

Yeah whiskeyriver, I definitely wouldn't wax an actual working work shirt. I've done it before and I loved it actually.

Overall I've found Dickies are boxier than Red Kaps. Red Kaps are my go to everyday work shirts that I wear at my shop.
