The hot Arizona weather is wearing me down. I have a lot of new items to wear and it's just to hot to wear them. I can't wait for it to cool off here just a little bit.

Same here. It's not been the best summer here, but I've picked up some pieces that really can't be worn until the temperature drops by 10c or so. Also can't wait to get back into wearing jackets out. While I'll always love my jeans, I've come to realise that jackets are my favourite single item of clothing.

You guys pining for cooler weather obviously do not experience real winter. I love my 23oz jeans, but I'm more than happy to wear shorts as long as I can.

I'm so stoked for Fall and Winter to get here for so many reasons but rockin the heavyweight gear is definitely one of them. Although I am a bit of an oddball as I will wear my heavyweight denim year round in Phoenix, no problemo.

Now that summer is coming to an end, I've been looking to stock up on winter stuff. Just got my BB Snorkel Jacket, and it's going to be in regular rotation with my Jcrew Thinsulate Peacoat, and I'm going to buy some new denims to rock in the fall/winter, looking at Momos IxB and SGs 2109s. I'm slowly weaning off of G, can't fit in 33 slims anymore, and will put all my G denims on BST/Grailed/Ebay/Dappered.

I've taken summer as an opportunity to wear the red headed stepchild of Gustin indigo jeans, the infamous Pima Fire. They're soft, looser fitting than my other jeans, loosely woven so they ventilate well and 12oz in weight. I threw them in a vat of Kakishibu a while back to mute the streakyness but they still weren't getting worn much. Last winter was all about Oni 20oz, the spring hit and the Oki's became the go to. Now if I'm not wearing shorts or some sort of thin Chino like pants, it's the Pima Fires. They are tough faders but the Kakishibu cast also wears and fades so they're starting to look ok. Too soon for pics but I think they might become a good looking pair. I can always throw them back in the vat as the "overdye" cast wears off pretty quickly in all the usual fade areas.
I'd go so far as saying I like them now. That's a huge leap from the sad panda face I made when I opened them up after waiting a couple months (my first G purchase back in 2013). I remember muttering "it's like raw denim acid wash...." and just walking away to get a beer to console myself. Now that has all changed. The Pima cotton feels like pajamas as well, bonus!

Dude, having been through umpteen Phoenix summers, your post gave me swamp ass by association. I don't know how you guys in Phoenix are doing it. Don't give me any "it's a dry heat" bullshit either. I grew up there, I know the truth. Props to you, insane bastard.
