Thought I'd share this with everyone. This is my trusty chore coat (didn't realize that what these were called until G came around) that I have had for 10-15 years. I bought it on super duper clearance at Marshall Fields in the late 90s/early 2000s. It's made out of a fabric that I have never seen anywhere else . . . it has a coarse velvet type feel to it. It's kind of a mix between a non-linear corduroy and a velvet. I love this thing, but sadly after losing 60 lbs a few years ago, it fits me pretty (really) big. Still, I love it, and break it out all the time. It pairs perfectly with a casual button down and jeans. The perfect fall jacket. I'm hoping the G Italy Brown X Black basket weave chore coat will make me as happy as this one has, and fit a little better.
