I have a brand new with tags (though my tag is different than the website tag?) Old Blue Denim Co. 1920s-Inspired hand-dipped indigo dyed henley in size L/chest 44. It is definitely regular/loose fitting, and is supposed to be because of its 1920s styling. But this size on me is a little TOO loosely fitting. I'll order a medium for myself when I order more Old Blue jeans in the future, but for now I'm letting this one go. The coloring is VERY cool. It's uneven in a cool, old-fashioned way, and it will definitely age awesomely. It looks like it came straight out of the 20s. The sleeves are a little short, but again, are supposed to be per the styling. The fabric is very stiff but feels like it will soften with age. Some of this stiffness is likely due to the vat-dying process. It's saturated with indigo haha. The tags are colored blue from the stuff. It is also a cool waffle knit. Not your typical henley stuff here. Brand new and yours for $50 rather than $60 plus $35 shipping. I bought mine with my jeans so I had it bundled into the shipping fee, but if you bought this outright you'd pay $35 just to have this shipped. So it's a $45 savings for ya. I am listing it on Grailed and eBay for $70.
The manufacturer's description:
This garment is basically inspired by The Henley in 1920s era. Hardworking men in the early 1900s began wearing long sleeve, three buttons cotton shirt, as a soft first layer under their denim clothing. The Henley has since been a staple of American work wear.
This Henley is made using waffle knit 100% cotton fabric. And then the fabric was dipped into natural traditional indigo. The fabric was dipped before the sewing process, so expect some uneven shades throughout the henley. As a result from traditional hand-dipping process, and also the coloration depends heavily on weather condition.
Like the original one, it also features herringbone fabric as the placket tape. Cat eye brown corozo buttons is used for the 3 buttons placket. As you can expect from corozo nut buttons, they have a very beautiful grain effect.
