Are Clark's wallabees made from actual wallabee leather?
Me and my girlfriend are at the zoo and she is insisting they are made from wallabee leather.

Were they ever made from wallabee skin? No. Clark's introduced them in 1965 and they were initially made in England. We're not exactly known for our fields of wallabies and it would have been prohibitively expensive to import the skins from, literally, the other side of the world. |

Honesty there is a wallabee here. We are looking at it and she says to me. "Don't you feel bad owning Clark wallabee shoes now" I had no clue she was serious. Then my buddies girl agreed with her blindly.

I've heard that there was a special release called the "Mick Boot" made with real Wallabie hide. Came out after the Crocodile Dondee movie. Clarks way of competing with the Alden "Indie Boot".
