Any thoughts on this brand? I like the look of some of their stuff but a couple of things stood out for me. first, their boots are blake stitched and second, they're 'designed in Texas' but manufactured in Maine. This leads me to speculate that their stuff is subcontracted out to Rancourt since they blake stitch all their shoes and are located in Maine. Not sure their stuff is worth the near $500 price tag since you can pick up a pair of GYW Indy's for a hair over $500 or other brands in the $200-300 range. Just curious if anyone owns a pair and would like to share their thoughts. helmboots.com/

I'm of the mindset that Blake welted isn't worth my money when plenty of GYW choices are available for $200 and up.
I'd guess you're right about Rancourt being the actual manufacturer.

I would spend my money on White's custom or Oak Street Bootmakers for this price and get away from the weird profile. Though it seems I'm the only one that thinks Rancourts look like triangles.

You're not alone. I agree on Whites, but would replace OSB with Alden. OSB's toe is prettier than Wolverine or Red Wing, but their construction doesn't seem to justify the higher price.
