I like the idea more than the execution, pretty unremarkable. |

I picked up a N-1 Deck jacket off EBay last March. Only got a few weeks of wear in it. Its a Very warm well made jacket.
Only criticism I have (that I can remember) is the arm holes are high and a bit tight. But there is a lot of wool lining that I think with wear will condense and mold to me.

Yea, like some of their flannels look interesting, but don't care for the smokers pocket on the left side, and I won't be taking up cigarettes anytime soon. I'll probably pick up one of the roamer vests in elephant fabric, as its around 17oz, and is supposed to be almost leather like. Would make a great riding vest. |

I was watching Ebay for one also, but never would find one in XL. I finally bit the bullet and just ordered one from Pike, and it was under $300 with shipping to my door. USPS lost it for a month and a half, before it finally showed up, after I kept badgering them about my jacket. By the time I got it, it was too warm to wear until Fall rolls around. Really like it though, as they are very well made, and like the wool in the arms, and the jungle cloth outer, like the originals. |

On the whole, I like their stuff but I did order one of their PT jumpers and a. it was an awful fit, even as small, and b. the quality was very so-so for the money, so I sent it back.

I bought a Demotexted Buzz Rickson's N-1 from Rakuten earlier this year. Pics are here somewhere. It's the more upmarket version with real alpaca, a better quality zip and maybe thicker material.
The lower Rakuten prices made this a good buy.

What does demotexted mean? The demotexed version of the Buzz Rickson N-1s are replicating the original jackets, which had moth proofing labels in the wool. |
