Why do the shoulders seem so narrow on every model wearing these (and most IH shirts for that matter)? Look at where the shoulder seam falls in almost any of the pics - an inch or so higher than the natural end of the shoulder. And then longer sleeves to make the overall fit seem almost right. Are narrow shoulders just part of the basic IH shirt design? I've tried 3-4 IH shirts and found the shoulders binding when all other proportions were right, and I don't have a broad build. It's something specific to their shirt cut that I don't understand. It's the biker thing. If your arms are stretched out to the grips, the shirt will fit right and not flap around in the wind. However it will never look right when you're doing anything that's not riding a bike. We all like to make fun of Giles for wearing a size too small, but he's really wearing the right size for it's intended purpose. However if you're not buying a $350 shirt to cruise slowly on your Fatboy, buy a size larger and warm wash to shrink the sleeves a little. This also explains why the area under the arm holes is narrower than the bottom, to keep the body from flapping around so much when on a bike. It also looks funny when not on a bike. Made me think of an old comedy sketch (couldn't find it on YouTube) About a guy that gets a suit taylored to fit best when sitting down.

So I figured it out. I think I've come to realize that the Westerns I like are the ones that have tonal stitching. When a western has contrast stitching it makes the yoke pop too much and is a little loud for me. When a western has tonal stitching on it the yoke is still there but it doesn't seem to stand out as much, it's a more subtle detail on the shirt. You know it's still there but it's not as in your face as one with contrast stitching. so my conclusion (if anyone cares or is still reading this at this point, lol) is that I'm going to cop the work shirt in Indigo Wabash (IHSH-68-ind; www.ironheart.co.uk/shirting/ihsh-68-ind.html and the Western in the Black Wabash (IHSH-62-blk; www.ironheart.co.uk/shirting/ihsh-62-blk.html. Problem is, Rakuten is no option for either one. Several shops on Rakuten do stock the IHSH-62-blk but the biggest they go is XL. I will need an XXL in that shirt.

Ickes I think you can get away with an XL. I fit in the 62-ind XL and I am a little bigger than you.

If I was going with the Indigo I would go with XL and it would be a really good fit too, but for whatever reason the black wabash western sewed up about a size smaller than the Indigo. The XXL black measurements are equivalent to the XL Indigo measurements.

In truth, the indigo stains that contrast stitching all on its own. Mine is ALREADY doing that.

derek....you have no idea how much you just helped me out right now! Thank you so much brah!!! You have made my day so much easier. I was having a hell of a time deciding on what to buy off of IHUK during the 12% off sale (which ends in about 9 hours) and it all was because I thought there weren't any of these available in XXL on Rakuten.
You're the man derek!!

Well, it looks like rebirth doesn't ship directly to the US so I have to use a forwarding service. Does anybody have any experience with these?

dammit...this looks kind of complicated. I registered with a forwarding service but now I have to send them a form of ID I think to complete registration. ugghhh...then I'm still not sure how this works when I order the product.

Shoot an email to Mahoto at Denimio with the item that you want, I believe he is willing to help procuring items in Japan. He usually responds right away.

So I received a very prompt reply from Denimio and unfortunately they have temporarily suspended their proxy service due to the person who is in charge of it being so busy. Just FYI. The hunt for my IHSH-62-BLK continues. In related news, I copped the IHSH-68-ind last night (work shirt version of the IHSH-62-ind western) during the final hours of their sale. This shirt looks sweet, hopefully the fit works out. www.ironheart.co.uk/shirting/ihsh-68-ind.html
