My latest IH acquisition. Nothing fancy, just a nice, solid 12oz black selvedge shirt. As usual, the quality is excellent.

Nothing fancy? Those shirts are amazing. In a perfect world I would have the black one you have and the Indigo. Haven't wanted to spend that much so far and haven't been able to find a good deal on one in my size. I did get a nice Flathead indigo western sure that's on its way though. |

Workshirts or half westerns would be fine I know I can't decide between the black and indigo and I am seriously loosing what little willpower I have right now with both of them being available on Rakuten. Damn you Rakuten...Rakuten also has another IH product I want available in both the colors I want. It's just not fair. I didn't even really like western shirts before you guys and now I'm drooling over these damn IH westerns..Thanks guys. It's all your fault. |

wdw just curious, why did you choose the black over the indigo? I keep looking at your pics man the shirt looks damn good. Love the fit on you.

ickes, I guess I chose black as I'm not an indigo denim shirt guy (not yet at least), and I felt that black would work well with my green and red jeans, and also with my 21oz black IH vest. I think the black looks good with heavy black boots too. When I compared it to my IH black Wabash shirt, this is nowhere near as solid black, much more an obvious denim, with quite a few white bits coming through.

Aside from the 90days fashion hiatus, I've avoided these also because I'm almost to the point of denim over-saturation in my wardrobe... I have great pieces that will last a decade or more, but getting dressed is starting to be un-fun at times...

Always good to see someone wearing an IH shirt that doesn't look a size too small. Yes, one of the few times I've seen both the shoulders and sleeves sized correctly. Often the shoulder seams are too high, but this fits well. |

Thanks for the fit comments, guys. I have a 40" chest and the IH Large seems to work for me, although the size charts suggest a Medium would work on a tight fit, but I'd rather have some space and room for shrinkage.
I gather Giles is a 42 and he seems to normally model Large, but to my untrained eye he could do with an XL, although maybe tight is the preferred IH look.

I have a 42" chest and generally the XLs fit me great, just like the Ls fit you. I agree that Giles could do with an XL. |
