That's the one.. I did a quick search for "epaulet," as I was certain these would have been mentioned before now. If you do a search, you get a bunch of hits mentioning the accessory, which drowns out info about the brand =P

I wonder if we can change the title on this thread to just be Epaulet like the rest of the category. Anyway, those of you that are fans of the rainbow neps, Epaulet is selling these, which I liked the look (or at least the idea) of until I realized that it was rainbow nep'd. Their email also links to something that looks nice called the Indigo Sea Canvas that doesn't seem to actually exist on the site, which is how I ended up at the rainbow nep page. :/

I guess it's these, though these look grey and the image included in the email looks blue. In the email:

Got my Epaulet trainers yesterday... These are the ones in unfinished horsehide that were on presale this past summer (so a little over four month wait). Fit is solid, construction looks clean, very positive first impression. Will wear these on Friday. Question for the leather and jacket aficionados here... I've never owned anything in horsehide... Does this need any treatment or conditioning over time? Does the fact that the leather is "unfinished " make a difference? Or do I just leave this stuff untouched? Thanks!

I have quite a few horsehide jackets, but they're all stuffed full of wax apparently. I've never heard of unfinished horsehide, but my guess is that if you treat them, they'll darken quite a bit. If you don't want that, then I'd only ever wear them in dry conditions. I'd imagine they'd need conditioning eventually though. Enjoy them anyway.

I think it was over in the official sale thread, but the $25 clearance type iii showed up today. Funny thing to note is that of all my shirts in denim and heavy twill, this jacket is made out of the softest and floppiest denim of them all. I was somewhat careful with the buttons, but they didn't seem ready to pop off, and I seem to have sized it jut right, so all in all, a pretty solid $25 purchase. I don't know if it's sold me on the type iii, though. This one has a bit of a shawl collar, but I kind of like that.

First I noticed as well was how super soft it was. Sleeves are kinda long and generous. Going to shrink it a lil in that area. Got an XL and its pretty spot on, larger guys than me will not fit there stuff (no buff guys allowed lol). Also, picked up the henleys to get free shipping since I wanted to try em got Xls and they are pretty fitted. Once again larger builds or guys around my size will be at XL. I dont think you can have broad shoulders or anything over 19" and a chest bigger than 44. I guess most of their clothing caters to ectomorphs or just more fit people than myself.

I received my jacket from Epaulet yesterday and am thrilled. The cut and fit is fantastic, and they now offer 46 which was a boon for me. The side and top entry bottom pockets are a nice touch and hardly noticeable from an aesthetic perspective. It wears almost like a sportjacket as well so that makes it a very versatile piece. They just released a cone red version today. The plum I bought will work well with every color pant I own so that will make things much easier for me. epauletnewyork.com/collections/outerwear/products/doyle-jacket-12oz-red-dawn-cone-mills-denim?variant=1353704243209

Yeah, was just eyeballing the red Cone. Kinda tempting. Do it. Bang for the buck is there and you can return if it does not fit. Even if you don't end up liking that color, you can assess the fit. Looks like they are just pumping out small runs of found deadstock which was another reason I jumped on the plum, knowing that the color would not come back. Most likely same deal on this Red Cone, not to be run again.

MiUSA chainstitch shadow plaid flannel from Japan. Chest, SHoulders, and neck too small for me as they have gone the reverse vanity sizing Gustin model on shirting, but may be useful for someone on here. We've got four gorgeous Japanese fabrics for this first launch. And you can save 15% until 2/28 with the following code: chainstitch15
