Obviously a lot of sales out there. But I just tried out Lady White’s coupon code for a free pair of socks with any order, with only socks in the cart, and sure enough you just have to pay 10$ shipping. For 28$ socks that’s a great deal. Pretty great deal and I’m a LW addict so they know I’ll be back for more. Code is: LWC002 not sure when it expires.

5 oz western and the...paisley, one of the coolest shirts I've seen yet. Size 5 worked out nicely in the paisley as the measurement were a little small in the 4; sz 4 in the western worked nicely. Arms are smallish/tailored. Came to my senses and remembered one can never have too much indigo in the closet. Sometimes the IHSH is just...too much damn shirt for the occasion. Just picked this up as part of their Black Friday sale. Worked out perfectly after the discount came to 130-something, which is just enough to get the free shipping. Was honestly looking a the kasuri dyed western, but it sold out just as the sale hit. They still have the kasuri workshirt, but it has black resin buttons instead of the MoP and seems to just miss the mark for me.

Ran across this site today. American workwear ethically made in Japan using a TS style preorder system, just on a micro scale? They only have a couple of shirts and a couple of scarves right now, but I only just discovered them so no idea how often they turn around different styles. I like the Henley.... the-rite-stuff.com

So I decided earlier this month to take part in the Denimio fade contest, I guess to amuse those of you who think such things are silly? But mostly just because the chance to visit Japan and meet the people who make the jeans I love sounds like a dream. So I’m trying to go all in, and have dedicated an instagram account to just this, tracking the daily evolution of the jeans over time. The account has been private until now as I’ve tried to figure out the best style, but I’ll be making it public very soon. In the meantime, if you want to check it out the Instagram name I settled on was: denimartist112
I’d definitely appreciate your support!

at least buy from somewhere with a good return policy. $35 fee is so worth it to insure you are happy Flying in the face of this wisdom (which I agree with), you could also get the one you like best for $750 by playing a little Rakuten-roulette: global.rakuten.com/en/store/rogues/item/sugarcane_sc13597/As for my opinion, I like the both the IH and the MF. The Buzz Rickson is very nice, but even still its quality pales in comparison.

Thanks for all the helpful feedback. I was looking at Merkur, and if nothing else it’s an inexpensive backup/travel razor and a way to use the rest of my DE blades.
But I am still intrigued by the disposable proguard straight razor blades feather makes. I’ve always liked the ‘idea’ of shaving with a straight razor, but never wanted to deal with all the work stropping just to inevitably nick myself (I assume? Maybe I’m a natural, hehe). But these proguard blades eliminate both the need to maintain the blade and nicks? If the shave is nice it seems like a sorta fun way to make the mundane act of grooming a bit more interesting, I guess.
Anyone ever try these out? Or any other similar straight “safety” razor?

The DE razor my SO got me last year broke today. It was from one of these startup shave places so I’m not surprised, looks like it was made out of pot metal.
Anyhoo, I was looking for a solid steel one and looking st different brands and ran across Feather. They have both a really nice stainless DE butterfly razor, but I also ran across their artist series straight razors. Basically disposable blade straight razors, and they also have a blade guard style blade that is wire wrapped to prevent cuts. Anyone have one of these? Or experience with Feather? The one thing turning me off is cost of replacement blades for the artist series, as they might be proprietary? And I still have a few dozen boxes of DE blades.

I thought of Roy too and saw he has one pair left in size 30 of his last batch. I imagine he has a bunch of dead stock too but it sounds like he really developed a close relationship with white oak....I almost wonder if he’ll buy one of whatever machine they used to loom his denim...could work out in his favor even. He could even employ the same guys or gals who are getting laid off...here’s hoping! I have never been able to snag a pair in my size so he better keep on sewing!

The claw is nice, and always gets compliments. Its a bit finicky to fasten, though. I like the double collar button belt too, and it looks like it might be 1 1/2" wide? The claw is only 1 1/4". I have one other belt from them too, and it's nice leather (they say US-sourced, not sure where though). northcoast : For 50% off, get both, in every color

That sick camo vest and the fleece lined hoodie just dropped, either one of which I was seriously considering, but then I checked out the length measurements....they seem short? Maybe I need to pull out a hoodie and measure it, but 26.5 is their longest for an xxl with a chest of 23.9x2....5.5” shorter than their kanreki shirt (just to pick one) in xxl. I realize that shirts and hoodies are apples and oranges, but does anyone else find this short? Or are some shorter folks jumping with joy?
The camo vest is a bit longer, but maybe a bit short for me, even still. I really like how they seem to have taken a defunct camo pattern and made a piece that bridges that line between fashion and function in a way that I think both “is” and “is not” at the same time. I really hope this trend continues. I like it!

I received the momo grosgrain shirt today. Chest measurement of the 46 is indeed 47. The fabric is a very nice medium weight. Let me know if you have any specific measurement questions gaseousclay it feels raw/unwashed btw, but I’m planning on wearing it a few times before I wash it, but I can’t imagine it would shrink more than an inch. So probably a very true to size shirt, which I think is pretty typical of momo.

Digging this shirt. If I hadn’t just bought the Denimio x SDA collab jeans and a momo shirt I’d be all in, but on a mini spending freeze. (Would love to see a side by side between this and the ihsh-191 just in terms of fabric weight and construction.)

Yeah I’d say it’s about 3/4 size. I’m an 11.5-12E US in most sneakers, between a 11-11.5E US in Alden/AE depending on the last, and these Tricker 4444 lasts in a 10.5UK fit 5, fit perfectly. Just a tad of snugness at first that after just a few wears has really started to shape to my foot. Nice shoes...

I did. I got a 46, but like I said there is still at least one more available. I got the measurements checked and it’s a touch bigger in the chest ( 47 instead of 46.5 ) but it’s cotton so i can get it to shrink a bit regardless if need be, I reckon.
