Great pick up, Scooter! It's the coolest, most character rich leather I've seen.

Thanks for the heads up on that brand, @nate009 I was uninterested until I read it was merino and double layered at that. Please take some pics if you get a hot minute (yeah, I still remember your boss ass contribution to the waywt thread, haha). Anyone here have any experience with Andersen-Andersen? Their 5 gage full cardigan knit wool is out of this world and the fit and design is superbly dialed in. My real question is what are other companies pumping out the thickest, super chunky, merino sweaters that fit well? The rolled down turtleneck is their medium weight 7 gage half cardigan stitch, while the center zip (high collar) is the beefcake (same with their beanies--highly recommended). They do an indigo dyed versions (light blue and dark) that has awesome depth of color saturation, but ups the prices very steeply. I've got no ponies in this race, just stoked on discovering heirloom quality shit, haha

My gut reaction is to go with the Brietling over the Oris--esp if you're talking heirloom! But you have two kids so maybe two show stoppers is the way to go anyways?!!?

What's your got to sweatshirt now/ what are you looking into getting? I'm happy with my National Athletic Gear crew sweatshirts and 3sixteen for hoodies (indigo supposed to drop this Winter) Strike Gold man.... embrace the short length and boxy fit, hike the straight legs up to compensate if you ever need to. Looks great for me and is an awesome change of pace. Buzz Rickson is also nice, not nearly as thick or warm as Strike Gold but nice. I don't wear shirts under my sweatshirts most of the time anymore, the fabrics are just so soft and comfortable. The Stevenson freedom sleeve may be my next choice. OK, I'll try some TFH sweatshirts on next time I'm in PDX. And going commando right now with my NAG, Haha too soft not to!

Really like the one Stevenson henley I own, its thick but for warmth, wool is the way to go. For price justification, I feel it's reached in their cool unique fabric/weave and attention to unique details--frabric wrapped buttons that will develope sick fades, brah! But it's always a leap of faith if you can't try it on in person as the return policies aren't the best at their few vendors--lame I'm a Flat Head and Stevenson fanboy as of late (starting to look into TCB now as well) but Stevenson was the only one offering any sort of Henley options that I liked. Think I'll save my money, and instead buy yet another expensive sweatshirt 😂 What's your got to sweatshirt now/ what are you looking into getting? I'm happy with my National Athletic Gear crew sweatshirts and 3sixteen for hoodies (indigo supposed to drop this Winter)

I'd put PBJ on your list, too--Really cool fabrics.
I always like when company's 'elevate' the henley (unique tonal buttons, differentiate the placket, make the collar not look like underwear) so it can look good on its own or with layers.
Need to try IH's--they look really good with after market tonal buttons swapped

I've rented clothes since high school...talking tuxedos of course Seen the wrist watch industry go down the rental route and all the cell phone companies are pushing lease contracts. I'm going to set up a clothing swap marketplace that connects dudes in the Southern hemisphere with us Northerners: They get our Summer clothes while we get their Winter, Haha
