I was apart of the first wave of layoffs, now the entire company is laid off.
Applied for a Masters Degree program and got in, so I plan on entirely changing career paths.
Sold a bunch of stuff I don't wear on eBay and grailed. Girlfriend is 3.5 months pregnant and won't really leave the house due to the lack or information about the virus and pregnancy. She can work from home though.
My family and I are all healthy at least!

Yeah I miss the days when this place was busy. Some really great discussion happened here (rather than just fade talk). Seems every forum is slow anymore unfortunately.

Now those Italian shoes are nice.
Wearing steel toes for work has ruined any and all aspiration on my end to ever want to wear tall leather boots, let alone a heavy work boot, during my time off.

The green one fits great. How they are supposed to fit; short, trim and flattering when properly worn.
The black one is a bit loose looking in the arms, length and shoulders/back. Guess it also depends on how you plan on wearing it. A hoodie or sweatshirt under it would help.

Looking for some advice on shrinking jeans. I have some left field 18oz heavy slub that were just a tiny bit big when I bought them, but I’ve lost a little weight and are now definitely too big in the waist. I’ve done a warm water (not hot) soak and hung dry one time. I’d estimate I got about an inch of shrink in the waist, but they stretched back out after a couple of wears. I’m looking to get an inch to an inch and a half shrink in the waist and hopefully keep it there. I’m thinking my next step should be a hot water soak and hang dry. If that doesn’t do it, should I stick them in the dryer? And if so, do I dry it on cool, medium or hot? Will the dryer “set” the shrink better than a hang dry? Also, I finally took my CF chinos to the tailor to have the waist taken in. They’ve always been big in the waist, but the recent weight loss have exacerbated the problem. For some reason, I’m ok with a tailor taking in the waist on canvas chinos, but not denim. You could try the dryer after a hot wash, inside out, I don't see what it would hurt especially since you are not wearing them much it seems as they sit right now. But with any denim I've ever had, the waist goes back to what it was raw, or even a touch past that. This happens with my unsanforized pairs. Even pairs that get two inches of shrink in the waist go back after some time.

Merz B Schwanen fits don't work for me, at least on their T's anyways. I wasn't impressed considering the price range. [/quote]
I kind of want their short sleeve sweatshirt that has orange and white. A somewhat local place to me carries it at a decent price too.
Their other stuff hasn't struck my fancy though.

I'm a Flat Head and Stevenson fanboy as of late (starting to look into TCB now as well) but Stevenson was the only one offering any sort of Henley options that I liked. Think I'll save my money, and instead buy yet another expensive sweatshirt 😂 What's your got to sweatshirt now/ what are you looking into getting? I'm happy with my National Athletic Gear crew sweatshirts and 3sixteen for hoodies (indigo supposed to drop this Winter) Strike Gold man.... embrace the short length and boxy fit, hike the straight legs up to compensate if you ever need to. Looks great for me and is an awesome change of pace. Buzz Rickson is also nice, not nearly as thick or warm as Strike Gold but nice. I don't wear shirts under my sweatshirts most of the time anymore, the fabrics are just so soft and comfortable. The Stevenson freedom sleeve may be my next choice.

Anyone like Stevenson Overall henleys? Worth the price? Warm? Really like the one Stevenson henley I own, its thick but for warmth, wool is the way to go. For price justification, I feel it's reached in their cool unique fabric/weave and attention to unique details--frabric wrapped buttons that will develope sick fades, brah! But it's always a leap of faith if you can't try it on in person as the return policies aren't the best at their few vendors--lame I'm a Flat Head and Stevenson fanboy as of late (starting to look into TCB now as well) but Stevenson was the only one offering any sort of Henley options that I liked. It's just hard for me to justify a flannel now a days. Thing has to be a crazy cool pattern for me. Sold off all my IH expect one. Doing the same with FH. I wish a brand would make a chamois Woolrich style shirt, that fits better than a Woolrich. The one I have is disintegrating with it being so old and a hand me down. Have you found something you like better than the IH and FH offerings in regards to Flannel? Just curious why you’d sell them all but have a hard time justifying more! FWIW I really like my vintage LL Bean chamois shirts. I agree they fit a little big but I bought them on the bay, went by measurements, and sized down. I only have 2 but I really like them both. No, not really. One of my favorites is from Macy's, and I wear it the most. American Rag. Most IH flannels are not sized correctly for me, (overly long arms and shirt length). Pay attention to people's fits, it's evident in so much stuff. Painful, because there is so much cool stuff that will look whack on me due to sizing. FH is even more wonky most of the time, overly tight stomach and much to long arm length. I find FH more comfortable to wear than IH, and the patterns are cooler (opinion of course). I'm only keeping the small handful that fit me well from either brand.

Filson has a new chamois shirt on their site, but don’t know if it’s the Woolrich style you referenced. Woolrich is a pretty straight forward standard workshirt. But the fit leaves much to be desired. Very long, big everywhere like waist and sleeves. I would assume Filson would be similar, a fashionable fit isn't the prime focus for most chamois shirts I've noticed lol.

I’ll say too that 3sixteen is good at developing unique colorways and fabrics. It’s what separates them from other denim companies. The back yoke is different, but I could get over it if they used snaps instead of buttons on these latest offers.
I like how the breast pockets have the button on the inside, rather than center. Reminds me of FH.

This is like a good news not so good news thing for me. The good news is I really like that weave and the XXL will fit me.
The not so good news is I already have a TS in similar red/black, I don't really want another blue shirt, and yellow = Stillers colors. Yuck.
Agreed that the red is too close to last years TS (f them) Moto that I also have. The blue is too similar to other shirts I already have, but I liked the Steelers as a kid. Waiting for Rapistburger to leave though. Might still grab the yellow. What happened in your adulthood to ruin the smarts you had as a youngin? 😂

Yeah, I like metal/white faces. Used to own one of these. But that Hammy just looks better in black. That strap looks nice. The Hamm with the cream dial looks good though too. Nice looking watch.

Any opinions on the 25oz VS the UHR 21/23oz? XHS isn't as warm as you would think (still on the warm side). Drapes well, has some slight shrinkage but mostly in the inseam. Very dark and stiff but softens quite a bit. Never handled the UHR.

I like your approach. They shrink a ton, but will stretch a fair amount. Don't be surprised to see two inches lost in the waist (it will stretch to raw quickly though if needed). Three or so inches inseam shrink is just about all the shrink, so that's always my bench mark with it. Post fit pics if you can, not many post fit pics of that cut. One of my favorite details is the raised back pocket openings, they age nicely. I'm hoping to cold-soak these...for life. If SE specs are anywhere close to correct, I'll be looking to minimize the shrinkage. Of course, if they come over spec, warm water will be applied. I'll do what I can, for pics. Once you wash them they will shrink like mad and will shrink over time despite water temperature. I've never seen denim shrink so much. But they stretch a lot when needed. Maybe soak cold and play it like that. Once you get some more room, maybe soak again etc. I like hot washing them up front because they pucker well after shrinking so much. Good luck!

Some great stuff on there and nice choice. The pioneer denim is awesome (I bought it twice) The F310 is on there now too. Wish it bad a button fly. The pioneer denim has long been on my want list. I had been considering the 3002 and 3009, for some time. But, all of my indigo warp/white weft denims are slim fit, and all but the 3sixteen kibata are 18oz+. With the higher rise/larger thigh of the 3012, I'm shooting for a somewhat classic lighter weight anti-fit my denim collection is missing. I like your approach. They shrink a ton, but will stretch a fair amount. Don't be surprised to see two inches lost in the waist (it will stretch to raw quickly though if needed).
