I think we will see a lot of the band wagon jumpers disappear. I see no reason why decent brands that make good stuff and are true to their roots will disappear. I pay zero attention to "fashion" trends, so can't comment....

Bottom line. Not enough big (or small) guys buy our stuff. Almost invariably when we do a run of XS-XXXL, we are left with XS, XXL & XXXL when all the other sizes have gone. If we sold out of XXXL quickly every time we introduced something, I'd be mad not to make more XXXL next time around and almost as mad not to say "hey, we're selling all the big stuff, let's see what happens when we introduce something bigger still"...

Simple and honest answer. I don't like it. I think too many people are jumping onto the bandwagon and often for (imo) the wrong reasons. That said, some are good, some are shite and the shite will disappear, the good will remain. Without naming names, I think there is a place for all sorts of brands in this business, many, many, many Iron Heart customers started off on their Japanese or selvedge denim quest by buying "entry level" selvedge denim....

Iron Heart Retail Price Reductions
Over the past few months the Japanese yen has weakened against the US dollar and the UK pound, which means it costs us less to purchase stock of extant and new Iron Heart items. After consultation with our retailers we feel confident this situation will remain for some time and we decided we should pass these savings on to you and the customers who buy from retail outlets around the world.
We will be updating prices on our website throughout the day and it's a big job, so if you want to take advantage of the new prices, we suggest you hold off ordering until 18:00 British Summer Time today. Or just keep an eye out and order when you see the price has been updated.
We took this opportunity to rationalize pricing for the entire Iron Heart range and the RRP (recommended retail price) for most items has reduced, on average by around 10%. This has involved a lot of work – especially for the retailers – but we anticipate the new pricing will remain in place for some time to come. Of course if/when the Japanese yen strengthens again we will have to do another review and we may have to increase prices.
There is no ideal time to change pricing, and we hope that those of you who have made recent purchases love what you bought and don’t feel frustrated that prices have been lowered. The easy option for us would be to change nothing and take all the benefit of the lower costs, but – as well as recognizing we would become less competitive against other brands – whilst we need to make acceptable margins to run a healthy business, our ethos is to supply Iron Heart at a fair price and with the cost base lowering we recognized you deserved a better deal.
Thanks for your time. The Stubborn Crew

By that I mean, I have a tendency to gabble for ages. I said to Paula this morning, I really feel sorry for the person who has to transcribe the ramblings of a mad man....
