Ive gained some weight the past year so have to thin the heard of my 35 & 36 inch sized stuff (way to much ice cream)
Anyway- open to any offers - not looking for much...but these are too good to throw away...a great way for someone new to try out some stuff without dropping the coin i did during my learning curve
1) FIVE EASY PIECES LOW DOWN 5EP- LDB- they are defunct and you could consider these a collectors item....fabulous really fabulous denim, bought directly from 5EP
Washed twice- worn about 5-10 times
Actual measurements Waist 17.5 x 2 =36" Front rise 11" Rear rise 15.3" Length 32.5"
2) GUSTIN Japanese STANDARD Tagged 35 INCH STRAIGHT SOLD
I got these on this or another forum last year and never wore them. Not sure what denim, but since they are tagged #2, ill assume its Japanese Standard
Actual measurements Waist 35" Front: 11 Rear 15" Length 33" These appear to barely worn and are quite dark. Happy to provide pics for anyone
3) LAWLESS 14.5 oz Kuroki Mills Black Selvedge 2x1 Twill Brand New- If these fit...they are really special and Fit: Straight Leg Cool Black and white canvas Pocket Liner: Leather Denim Tag: Katana 2 Hardware: Black & Copper) These magically showed up at the end of the LD fiasco- after I received a charge back from the credit card co. Too bad about that whole mess...b/c the construction on these and the denim is stellar
Actual measurements Waist: 35" F rise: 10.5 R Rise 13.5 Length: 34:

Those the indigo/indigo Loomstates? I've been looking at those myself but the lack of a size chart has me a little leery. Let us know how they're sized and how they do after a soak. The fabric looks nice, I just hate the shape of their back pockets I will let you all know about the sizing. I'm not too confident in the advice for the size I ordered but we shall see . The low rise doesn't help help lol According FN the loom states will only shrink about an inch in the waist . Essentially I get the feeling the FN guys may not be as meticulous on sizing advice and or tolerances as our other brethren in the field. Usually a maker can help you pin down size and shrink pretty well. But here it was more of you "should" be ok or "don't machine wash". I have no problem if they don't fit but I will be more than annoyed it they don't measure close to their size chart out of the box. Particularly on a final sale If they are correct and if the size chart is accurate I will jusssst make it. If not you may see them for sale here But at the sale price a reasonable risk I actually think the pockets are a nice change of pace

I ordered a loom state and 6 month wash for kicks. We will see if it goes through and sizing is correct. But was curious about the brand

Went to post some pics but honestly nothing there. Really no fades or worm areas...just even indigo loss....honestly was bumming a bit on the no fades... may have to wear them hard the rest of the summer w/o washing Wondering if the linen mixture resists the typical fade/wear pattern....pretty sure this is the Gustin #225 fabric. As a follow up to this, older post I'd appreciate the wisdom of the board. I've become frustrated with the extra cuffing on these linen combo pair. Would like to get them hemmed (and maybe slightly very slightly tapered below knee). My pair have had two cold soaks to date. I'm thinking single cuff or narrow double but I've never actually hemmed for a cuff in all my years of denim ? How is long would,a lot for cuff? AND more importantly give the linen here would you do at least another warm or hot soak to ensure they are fully stable before hemming ? Thanks all.

Tried to call (more than once) with no luck, left a message with request of an update .... I am in my 23rd week now for a 23oz denim jeans and a wabash vest. Will be on summer holiday starting this Friday, so I hope to forget about waiting for the next 2 weeks. overdRAWn ... GERMANY 23 weeks? That's a bit harsh

the denim in the Garrison sample is pretty great. Also, it doesn't take much sense to realize one shouldn't wear a lime green shirt with them and with that it's pretty easy to avoid the Mr Green Jeans look. You've gotta branch that mind out a bit. The south Park thing is hilarious? Bentin were you referring to the Green denim that's on the website i think its Japanese 12.5 oz. If so anyone have any first hand experience with it? Last time I really looked at green pants....was in the 1970-80's as it was the uniform of our grade school custodians I would love to rock that green but see above Also here at www.jsonline.com/greensheet/popular-janitor-finds-a-new-place-to-lean-b99617182z1-353082801.html

My apologies for any cross posts but does anyone happen to have any pics of this Garrison style chino? It measures a little different and im having trouble visualizing what the CF website refers to as a "40s style." Color and size does not matter, just trying to see what it looks like and decide between a standard 905 chino and the garrison. Thanks.

For me...the cut on the bravestars is perfect...extra inch or two in the rise but with a slight taper is "money" Yeah, I love that cut as well. I want them to make more colors. How about army green next? Agree totally....but more importantly, i want them to release a denim with that exact cut, including the longer rise...

I wanted a skinnier pair. I have a pair of 33 skinny G's in the Italian BlackxBlack that I really like the fit (not skinny like Metallica 80's jegging skinny), so I opted to try the Skinny Skeleton from Brave Star. The fit is more of a taper in the thigh through the calf. The opening itself is about 1/8-1/4" smaller than the G, so it's again not jeggings. The top block will open up some more with wear. With the 15 oz fabric, they will require a little more break in effort, but that's not a problem. I'll begin to rotate these in with my G American Antiques and Soso Broken Twills. Ok thanks. I just emailed Mik to ask about the measurements on the Tapered Chino's which I do not see on site. I want them so I can compare to their jean offerings and purchase accordingly. I needed that information to take advantage of that last sale. My thought here is that even though I could look at their jeans measurements, I'd prefer to do an apples to apples comparison based on a pair of theirs I already own so as to be as close as possible to Brave Stars template. And DUH, found it, it's on the Tapered Chino product page. bravestarselvage.com/pages/tapered-chino-size-chart Tapered Chino Slim Taper Slim Straight SIZE 36 36 36 WAIST 19.25 19.25 19.25 F.RISE 12.25 11 3/4 12 1/2 B.RISE 17 1/2 15 1/2 15 1/2 THIGH 13 7/8 13 13 1/2 KNEE 9.5 8 3/4 9 OPENING 8 7 7/8 8 1/4 INSEAM 34 35 36 Thank you for this...i been meaning to do this for a while, since i think the fit on the slim chinos is perfect. Really nailed. I have bravest straight in denim but was looking for something to match up with the chino-which have a great top block...only issue is the shorter rise on the denim...wish it was an inch longer....

Wow just had to post here re my my #225 linen superlights, which i dont think i have ever seen anyone comment on. Just did my first soak after two years (very light wear). I have never seen such aloss of dye ....I mean massive,,,,deep and dark. So much i was worried i damaged the tub.....and ive owned a few brands....loomstate, unsanfornized, Japanese, etc
They havent dried yet....but very curious too see how this progression works...they were pretty azure colored to begin with v. regular cone .....
As an aside , these really do work well in hot weather.....

Anyone have any thoughts on the #305 JAPAN SUPERLIGHT STRETCH. Curious if they are really lightweight..say lighter then the denim/linen offer from a while back. Also curious as to the amount of stretch? Is it 2 way or four way? Also wondering if its any different from some of the stretch offerings from other brands. Usually 1% elastane...thanks in advance for any thoughts

These are super comfortable. Been fighting a pair of G's all day that have just been too tight and too short on the rise. These Cramerton Chino's fit like a glove right out of the box. I'm gonna wash and wear for a little bit and see how the shrink goes before hemming. I have like a 2 fold hem on these where Id prefer a 1 fold, but I see these as informal chinos so I may not even bother. If your on the fence, order. WOuld be nice to get some other colors. This. just got these today. I agree they're super comfortable. The top block is very reasonable down to just below the knee and then there is a good taper to the cuff. Weight is good for spring/summer/fall. These are great chinos, especially for the price. Has anyone noticed any shrinkage on the selvedge chino? I want to pre order but im between sizes.... cant decide to go 34 or 35

This is an interesting read having not been on the forum for a while. I posted on the RTW thread, that one half of my order (Black jeans) that was cancelled six months ago appeared on my doorstep two weeks ago. Seems however, that pay pal or my credit card were not charged. I made several email and t/c calls asking for a return label because i did not want to keep anything for free...looks like ill never get a response....now i have to weigh the ethical implications for keeping these..
we all knew that this ship was probably sinking but are they truly closed?

Thanks for the replies. Opened the package . Seems like it's a pair of jeans that's one half of a cancelled order. Of course no replies to my emails requesting a return label. So what's the ethics here, am I justified keeping them if they don't respond or do I pay the freight and send them back.....

Received my black2's in 36 straight. First straight cut ever from G for me. I'm in love with it. Basically a little higher rise and a little wider lower leg than the slims. I wish I went with 36 straight to begin with. Now I need to rebuy a few pairs in straight. Grey silks Cone blueXBlack Super heavies I've been 36 straight from day one.....they are more mature then the skinny lol

Taupe linen still hasn't even locked sizing. Same with the Italy Linen Superlights. They're probably in the same batch, and something in the batch is being held up. Bummer. The super lights are needed now....weather has turned hot very fast in the northeast
