Still here. How is everyone? Health? Working? Stable?
All is well with My family! No covid sickness. Still working . Getting tired of not socializing. Here in Massachusetts we're pretty good about mask and not making a big deal about it. Sucks, but what are you gonna do

Anyone Digging the new Rust brown Work Shirt? I gave it the once over. Couldn't quite bring myself to do it, though. Granted, I did just back the Brown Olive Selvedge Workshirt, last week. But, with the Rust Brown, there is no mention of selvedge, and the color seems a little odd, to me. I think they'd be better served acquiring a nice deep red chambray, instead. I passed also, I'm finding I don't wear heavy shirts as much as I thought. Back the lighter indigoxindigo work shirt (as if I don't have enough blue chambray's)

Selling the Wagonner, just don't use it as much as it should be. Going to buy a Fiat 124 Spyder. Small little convertible to run around in with the wife Not sure if you care, but there are some nice tunes for those. Stock the Miata seems like a better deal, but tuned, the Fiat gets much better. shopeurocompulsion.net/products/euro-drive-tuning-system-fiat-124-spider-abarthWaiting to throw a new clutch in my GTI before taking it from the stock 225hp to something more like 330. Thanks for the link. We won't be getting an Aberth . Wife doesn't like the sound And it'll be an automatic But itll be fun to tool around in

How's everyone holding up?
All is well With My family so far. We're about an hour out of Boston and now starting to get reports of the virus in our town. A lot of people I know have been laid off. Hope those businesses will be there when things get back to normal. If/when we get the shelter in place I'll be doing a spring cleaning. Going through all the clothes I've bought I'm sure I'll have a pile of seldom or unused used stuff, wishing I had the $ I paid for them. If we make it through this it'll change my habits I think. How about You???

So I went down this rabbit hole fast!!! Bought Omega Speedmaster (1st watch on the Moon) Omega Railmaster Cartier Gold tank solo Cartier Americaine Zenith El Primero
Bought the Speedmaster because I wanted a good time piece with meaning and something to hand down. My wife was born same day as the moonlanding.
Bought the Railmaster to be my daily beater. Because the Speedmaster was to nice to beat on.
Bought the Cartier Gold solo as a gift for my wife (just to justify my watches).
Bought the Cartier Americaine because my wife could decide both watches are unisex. So we both can wear both watches.
Bought the Zenith El Primero because it was a really good deal. And I have twins son so they can wear it.
When does it stop???!!!

Time does fly (I'm turning 50! Saturday). Still come here looking for a good discussion/argument on stuff. Oddly I was thinking about Lawless Denim lol (did anyone get a refund?) Just bought a few pairs of Gustin jeans. Still my best fitting and I bought them in a size 37! Good times! Lawless? I got a full refund check for all items not received from the Arizona Attorney General back in summer of 2018. I really didn't see that one coming. Went to Tokyo this weekend and wore my black bravestar jacket bravestarselvage.com/products/the-ironside-sherpa-fleece-12oz-selvage-denim-jacketI got it in a large and it fits great. My first run Gustin trucker in an XL is still too small for me with short arms. What a strange fit they had for their jackets. never bought another. Waiting for them or gustin to drop a good deal on some killer slubs. Was looking at Oni jeans at Hinoya in Ueno this weekend, but wasn't dropping 300 clams for more jeans. I will not live long to fade my current collection. I still skulk around for something new and slubby and "a good deal" to justify buying more stuff I don't need. And I want slub without looking streaky like the gustin Super Heavy Slubs. www.weargustin.com/store/jeans-26-super-heavy-slubI remember...that was back when all Gustin gave you was a photo of a small square of fabric that might have had a selvedge section in it. The small square of these jeans did not show how weird that "flame" look went across the entire pant. I am so glad I didn't jumps on them...like I jumpsed on the Cone Fire...ugh...and then I dyed the weft purple...talk about a pair of jeans I never wear. Purple pants...what was I thinking? New plan! I will wash them in super hot water and see if I can fade that purple out a little. Because you gotta have goals. Or maybe overdye them with kakishibu. Just stopping in to say hi to diggy. How did the bitcoin adventure turn out? Catch you all on the flipside. Lawless (wonder what he's up to?), I must have filed wrong because I didn't get nothing other then a lesson on not believing hype. I'm still supporting Gustin, jeans just work for me. Bought my first black pair, let's see if I wear them. Probably only when I go into Boston (why do city folks wear so much black?) I still wear my Tellason white chore jacket. Except it now a cool petrol blue. I dyed it in indigo and then did kakishibu soak. Came out a cool vintage look. Bitcoin... Sons made a killing (invested $5k shot up to 75k) then lost it. They got out with a little profit. But then received a tax income 1099 form for 150k profit. They had to hire a good accountant to figure it all out. So the spent the profit on the accountant and taxes. But learned a good lesson that college wouldn't have thought them They now are following our foot steps and buying real estate.

Thanks. I cold washed and soaked, hung dry. Still too long. Brought them in already and will see how they turn out. I should have only brought one in, but that's on me. I got excited when they said no problem. If they are trash, then lesson learned. I'll wear them as true work shirts in the yard and garage. And I'll just try to shrink my next two. If it works, game changer.... Keep us/me posted

Wash it! It'll most likely shrink an inch or so in the length but not so much in width. At least that's been my experience. Thanks. I found a tailor and will have them shorten 1.5 inches. I have two more on order, so perhaps I'll do a hot soak and wash on one of those. I'm always afraid of the shrinking game because I never know what will be affected, so I just cold wash and hang. I had that done. Came out awful! 1st the tailor didn't follow the Hem line and simply cut strait across. Now they're square and a bit odd looking. Then I washed them and they shrunk, so they're even shorter. I never wear them now and can't sell them. I'd suggest cold wash and hang dry first. See how that comes out. Then maybe wash and no heat dryer. If you do decide on bringing it to the tailor. Be specific on what you want and only have one done to see how it comes out.

Resurrecting... Just got my first batch of work shirts (heavy blackxblack and cone). I didnt realize how long these are. The 30.4 length on my classic medium is just about at the bottom, if not past the bottom of the sipper on my slim 33 waist American heavys. Oh, and I'm only 5ft 8in tall. Anyone else have this issue? How are you managing? Just deal with it? Keep it unbuttoned? Anyone know where I can maybe send these in to have shortened like an inch or so? Thank you Wash it! It'll most likely shrink an inch or so in the length but not so much in width. At least that's been my experience.

I'm gonna back those Natural Indigos www.weargustin.com/store/jeans-25-natural-indigo-2Not a bad price at $115 old school denim. I think it'll make a signature pair of jeans for the long haul. Also, I've been wearing a pair of the Greensboro from Cone. I decent denim for only $66 Anyone else back the Heavyweight T? Hoping they have the same fit as the other t's

Thought I'd start a new thread. Maybe you guys have some opinion on them.
So my new found boot fetish is with Chukkas. My Boys convinced me after they wore their Aldens nearly every day for a year+.
So I thought I'd give them a try. Started with a pair of classic Clark's, not bad. Then bought a pair of leather soled Aldens, a little more dressy. Then a pair of TS, dare I admit to it (only $140, couldn't say no). Recently a pair of Allen Edmonds, suade with Dainite sole.
Anyone looking to grow up and wear something other then sneakers and not as clunky as Boots, give a pair of Chukkas a try.
I absolutely love the suede ones with Dainite soles. Extremely comfortable and stylish. Wife loves them.
