It's not especially slim, no. I mean, I've got slimmer western shirts in my wardrobe.
The Flat Head 7002—the ultimate sawtooth western—is certainly slimmer than IH westerns. It's all I imagine when looking at this one..

I like sawtooth shirts but not convinced by that one. I'm sure the new 7oz is lovely, but it needs to be in a slimmer cut to work. They've taken a line of stitching from the yoke and the pocket flap, which was necessary, but it puts it out of whack somehow. I dunno..
Edit: It needs a single line of stitching on everything but the shoulder and arm seams. But then it would be even further from the IH look than it already is.

That new CPO is the most hideous thing I've ever seen. It looks like it was made out of my dead grandmother's couch. It's a shame because Pendelton makes some really great fabrics. .....and I'm still not sure I can get past the stupid arm pocket. I don't think the pattern is that bad, I just wouldn't want it new. I'd buy an old one from a charity shop for $30, but not sure I'd want to walk around in a crisp new one that says "Look at my new $170 shirt!" And yeah, what is with the arm pocket?! What does anybody need to keep in a pocket at their elbow?

I especially like how the buttons on this shirt will save the South American elephants. Incredible stuff.

That's a beauty. Usually with those kind of shirts they ruin it for me by having one comically small pocket or some other bizarre feature. That one looks perfect.

It's impossible to get the colour right (it's really much greener than it looks here) but this gives a good idea of the texture. Love this shirt.

I love how so much character comes out of it after a few washes. I'll try and get some pics that capture it with the old potato cam..

It's fun to drop by now and then and see what the people at Gustin are offering up. I was amazed to see that their leather jackets are still selling and that they've now added a biker jacket style to the collection. Who buys these things? If you're really in the market for a $649 leather jacket, are you sure you wouldn't rather force yourself into the market for an $849 jacket? Maybe one you can try on to make sure it suits you, or at least from a reputable company who know what they're doing with these things? And one you don't have to wait 3 months for? Crazy.. Has anyone here bought one? Are they any good? I'm happy to be proved wrong (not that I'd ever buy one). Also what's the deal with this shirt? www.weargustin.com/store/4105 Bloody thing looks like it's had a stroke. And they still insist on the aggressive scoops. Saying all that, I've always fancied a pair of their chinos. They seem like the best thing they do.

The colours on these, and the other shirts on their website, are great. It's going to be beautiful wool too. They just look really long, like you'd have to tuck them.

$8,000? Not on Rakuten they're not. I'm supposing they'll also be available on Rakuten shops that foreigners can also buy from.

I'm absolutely hanging out for a black one of these item.rakuten.co.jp/rebirth/10000924/I think they hit next month, which means if I buy one I won't realistically be able to wear it for at least 7 months.

But IHUK don't sell the 633, so I don't think they have a size chart for them.

Well in regards to my pair they are absolutely a slimmer fit all the way around. Lower rise..smaller upper block,,etc. They are a slim fit. I would highly recommend you try the 777 fit. It's my favorite IH fit and is exactly what you're looking for I think. Good to hear they are slimmer than the 634. I've got a pair of 555-03 so I reckon the 777 won't work for me because of the lower front and back rise. I've thought about the 555-01 but don't want indigo jeans quite that slim.. I'm looking for a little more room in the thigh and especially the knee, which I know I'll get from the 633, I just don't want too much more room. Thanks ickes.

I understand that they taper to the hem, but are they also slimmer through the thigh? That's what it looks like from the size charts.
For example according to Self Edge:
634 in size 34 has a 33.3" waist and 12.8" thigh
633 in size 33 has a 34" waist and a 12.5" thigh
I get that size charts aren't always the most accurate things; I was just looking for an answer to whether the 633 is more fitted/slimmer than the 634 aside from the taper.
By the numbers the 633 seems like a golden cut for me. Most of the Iron Heart cuts with neglible taper from knee to hem end up looking a bit bootcut.

Anyone have a pair of these? More to the point, does anyone know how they really compare to the 634?
They're described as being just like the 634 with a taper, but the size charts suggest to me they're slimmer all the way down.
I'm asking because I have a feeling I really need some IH 21oz flagship denim in my life.

If we're just talking about jeans, since getting into selvedge I've bought 3 pairs. I had been only wearing 2 of them until I had the 3rd chopped into shorts. Now I'm 3 for 3.
Edit: Or 2 for 2. Either way, not a bad ratio.

That's alright, don't expect measurements, just glad I can expect it to tighten up a bit if I throw it in the washer.

I had thought for a while that the blue/red 137 was a smash hit instant classic and that I'd be all over it when it was released, IHUK prices be damned. Then I saw this morning that it was on Rodeo Bros but they were out of mediums, and I didn't care. It was almost a relief. I've gone right off it. The colours are almost perfect but they don't quite get there.. Never mind, somebody else will love it I'm sure. I can't be the only one thinking this about these shirts. Iron Heart have so many inarguable classics in the back catalogue; these are not that.
